“Sometimes this post office will be closed when it says they're open. I'm not sure if they lock the front door and forget to unlock it but several times I've tried to get in during box hours for everything to be closed. Other than that everyone is always nice. And the postmaster will go out of his way to help you if you need something - even help locate missing mail. Great people!”

“Long time resident and it’s been a good couple decades since I’ve been in the village post office and so I came online to check the hours. I noticed the low rating and so I took a peek at the comments folks had left, because I felt nosey. After reading it became apparent that many people shared similar experiences and the reviews were a reflection of their encounters. Typically I don’t take stock in the opinions of others, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly apprehensive about my trip to the post office this morning. See, I recently became a 1st time Grandma and unfortunately my son, grandman and his mom are all the way out in California. Long story short, I had a lot of gifts to send out. The box I had them in wasn’t going to work and the “large” flat rate box, wasn’t at all large enough. I didnt even have time to begin to worry when the same lady that’s been described in these comments said “just a second, I’ll find a box”. It didn’t take long and she was back and then she started taking the items out of the box I had brought in and began repacking each piece with as much respect and thoughtfulness as I could have imagined. For being a Monday and 1st thing in the morning at that, I was impressed, and I’m very grateful for all her help. I just had to share because I think it’s fair to show both sides of the coin.
