I've never been to the shelter to rescue a pet, but the staff made the process seem easy. Birch and Juniper were a little skittish at first. That changed dramatically over the weekend! They're both playful and well trained at 4 months. Thanks for the very welcome additions to our family.Sincerely,The Douville's

Delta Animal Shelter is a no-kill animal shelter in Escanaba, Delta County, Michigan. We care for all types of pets including dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, rabbits, and birds. In addition to adoption services we provide low-cost pet microchipping, a pet-food pantry, and offer a variety of volunteer opportunities. We also have a self-service dog wash/pet-bath area. In our pet retail supply store you'll find gifts for all animal lovers such as dog treats, pet toys, animal sweaters. We take in stray dogs, and provide spay & neuter services to stray cats through our TNR program (Trap, Neuter, Return). Don't forget to ask us about our community programs such as kids Pack, story-time, and snuggles for seniors!
