The main reason I purchased a membership was for access to the pool. Unfortunately, unless you are free from 3-5 the pool is unavailable. If you try to cancel your membership, they play the bait and switch which means no matter what, you will be billed additional month.

The walking track is very small and boring. I know they can't expand it without occurring a high cost, but at least they can make it attractive by painting the wall with lively colors or maybe paint some sceneries like river, boats, mountain, trees.

Wonderful Mosaics class with Rebecca! She was very informative, professional and warm. The class needs to be 2 hours long however. 1 hour is just not enough time to do the project.

The whole staff at the Farmington YMCA is welcoming and friendly. I have not encountered one staff member or even a patron who is "having a bad day." If you want every day to be a good day, this Y is for you! I love going to my workout at the Farmington Y.

The facility is very dated and has limited swimming hours. Why is the jacuzzi located between both men and women locker rooms? I didn’t feel comfortable with that type of access.I canceled my membership in less than a month. No one from the staff gave me a new membership consultation nor did they care why I was canceling. The management team was not friendly.

We really love coming to the gym and working out and also attending the Zumba dance classes. Michelle’s classes are the bomb. She is very great at what she does and she enjoys it. You can tell 10 star to Michelle keep up the good work your classes are the best and forget the rest!!!???

A review maybe the only way we'll see improvement. Reoccurring hot tub and therapy pool closures and lack of current cardio equipment make the monthly membership fee a hard pill to swallow.

Love this YMCA. Great staff nice people good atmosphere and amenities. The terrible Downriver YMCA could learn a lot from the professionalism and compassion of this place!

What is the point of having a membership to use the therapy pool when it is only open 1 time a day at 7am? I see no reason to continue paying as membership fee for this? What a waste of a pool!

I took group swim lessons here and really enjoyed it. I built a lot of confidence through the instruction. Also locker room and shower area is very modern and clean. Great experience!

I have used many of the offerings, including the pools for independent swim and classes, group exercise classes, wellness center, walking track, and personal trainer. All have met my needs and been enjoyable at the same time.

Since the COVID crisis this YMCA has totally rebuilt & reconfigured its locker rooms, jacuzzi, and saunas to the highest standards. Being a lap swimmer, I can confirm that, between the 6-lane pool and a separate "Therapy Pool," any visitors will find it a most satisfying experience. And I don't even use the large multi-purpose gymnasium, racquetball courts, and well-equipped workout room for any other types of exercises. Well worth your time and health!

One of the worst gyms I’ve ever been to. Honestly have no idea how this has so many stars. I’ve given them so many chances.Their membership is double that of similar gyms like powerhouse and LAfitness etc.Their basketball courts are always shutting down early, have dust on them, or shutting down for tennis, coaching, and other things.Their service is not bad but then there’s times it’s horrible. The place is insanely aged.In my opinion there’s just so many places with better features, cleaner spaces, better people, yet half the price. I’m honestly mind boggled on how this place makes any money or how it’s still open.

Nowhere I have found do I have the exposure to the wide variety of age, ethnic backgrounds and religious affiliations (or not). Excellent people and vibe.
