It’s alright. Staff is a bit rude and unprofessional for absolutely 0 reason however the management team seems to be taking strides to fix the outside of the buildings. I will say - don’t let the outside fool you the insides are not that great at all.Adding to this - I cannot wait to move out. I am still waiting on a new washer/dryer. Washer clearly has mold, dryer is quite LITERALLY BURNING MY FAMILIES CLOTHING. Leaving black tar on it that’s impossible to get out that’s hard and itchy making the clothing not wearable. Not to mention - a few items were burned through.. how.. how did a delicate dryer cycle burn my clothing lmao. We’ve been to the leasing office and all we get is that they’re “behind”… odd every time I go in there the entire leasing office is on their phone and doesn’t even look up at you and say hello. I feel like they only work here cause this is the only place that’ll hire people who lack decent customer service skills. They’re rude as heck in that office. When the payment system went down they were huffing because they had to explain how we should pay rent. Sorry you had to do what you were paid to do. Poor you. Oh - the dumpsters… like ALL OF THEM and the little dog poop things are OVERFLOWING. For the amount of rent we pay you would just think they’d keep up the grounds while they scam people into thinking this place is fine to live in.

Heat and air conditioning were constantly breaking and taking weeks at a time to get somebody to come out for repairs. Washing machine broke and took months to be replaced. Apartment was very dirty upon moving in. Had to had carpet replaced because of such a bad animal urine odor which took weeks.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!Do not stay here! This is the worst Management I have ever dealt with. Totally incompetent people. You will get better service at McDonalds.I was getting fast responses before I signed the lease, after signing it no response at all whatsoever. The day of moving, I was told that the AC isn't working and they will fix it on the same day. The AC was fixed after 4 months, it was not priority according to them. We were getting straight up black water from the faucet which we were told that nothing they can do about it. Their online payment system goes down sometimes and we need to go to bank to get a cashiers check, which if not submitted on time we will get penalized. The main building door is always broken, anyone can get into the building and steal your packages. They never fixed mine for a year, always the same answer that they have ordered parts to replace the lock on building door.My apartment door was broken by a cop due to a gas leak. They placed a tiny lock on the apartment and never replaced the door. When you add in work orders online, they will change the status to completed without even finishing it.I would suggest everyone to have all the communication through Email as a proof because these guys will try to keep your deposit. I was in communication with them for 3 months after I left the apartment, they said they will put my name on collections list even though they owe me money. Luckily I have everything on email as proof and was able to settle.

I tried to give a quarter star but it would only allow me to give one or more stars. We have been staying here for less than 2 months and it has been a nightmare. About 2 weeks in there was a fight in the building around 10am. We were hoping it was a one time thing but it was definitely not because about 3 weeks later there was another fight in the building. The second one was around 3:30am and lasted about an hour and was so loud and out of control it took the police to quiet things down. And 2 days later at 1:30am they were at it again. When I went to the office to notify them that we would like to break the lease because we do not feel safe they claimed that I was the only person who had complained about the noise. We only signed a 6 month lease which we now have to pay $3000 to break because we do not feel safe staying not to mention that there has to be a 60 day notice. I thought management would have tried to work something out with us seeing that there has been so much trouble in such a short time.

I have lived here for almost 5 years and this has by far been the worst living experience I have ever had. I have been without heat in my apartment since August (not that I needed it in August). Every time I ask for an update I am told it will be fixed in a few days. It has been MONTHS now and I have not been compensated and am left to live in a 56 degree apartment. I was told we may be given a free car port as compensation. Will be taking this case to court to get compensated. The apartment has mold and there are bugs all over the apartment in the summer. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So not only did this terrible place allow me to live in an apartment with mold for months, force their way into my apartment to try and cover it up. They IGNORED my test results from a mold removal company for months after that. We gave them chance after chance to correct this. Instead they blocked our calls and emails and ignored communication from our lawyer. Upon leaving they pretended to not receive our communication about leaving. Not only did they STEAL our deposit, they've now sent a bill for $750 to a collection agency. I can't wait for court

Been here 4 months and been trying to get in touch with someone about maintenance. They never answer your calls or return them when you leave messages. I work late so the leasing office is always closed when i get off. My apartment has leaks and power issues that needs resolved but they will never respond to any calls or messages i leave.

Horrible complex. Ashley is THE WORST. Applied for the complex and was first told I’ll get an answer within 48 hrs. 48 hrs passed, no answer. Then I finally got an answer and was told the regional manager sent me info out and could take up to 72 hours. That time passed. Still no update. Would not recommend!

I have lived here since 2020 and have been a resident through 3 property managers and as of November 6, 2023 this is by far the worst living experience of my life. While the retreat has been managed by RPM not even a full year, I have experienced the worst customer service/living conditions of life. They are very rude and unhelpful in the office and if you come to them with any issues I promise there will be no empathy, and you will probably be met with an gaslighting attitude for making a complaint. I had my vehicle stolen TWICE this year from this campus and the leasing office had nothing to say about it and barely said that they were sorry to hear I went through this on their property. There is no security, they barely maintain the property, I am afraid of what the winter will be. They waited weeks to finally clean up the leaves and people were falling because there were so many leaves the walkways were completely covered. And typically when it rains there is a collection of water in our parking lot and it is not a small collection of water it is enough water that causes ducks and swans to come swim in it which is cute for the moment but the water also causes people to have to park on the grass or somewhere very far from their units because the water is so deep in a parking lot. And whereas I saw the previous property managers alleviate these issues the next day after it rains, this property manager RPM does nothing about the body of water leaving it there for weeks and then would have the nerve to email residents about parking under sheds without paying or on the grass but not realizing it is because they literally have nowhere to park because RPM is not draining the water. Speaking to anyone in their leasing office you will have a gaslighting feeling everytime they make you feel like EVERYTHING is your fault. I hate living here worst living experience of my life. And whoever the new guy is in the office he has a very funky attitude. I told him I called the office to ask how much I had to pay for rent, and the young lady I spoke to did not know how to check so she said she would ask ASHLEY and give a call back. Never received a call back and once I went to the office he basically blamed me for not knowing how much my rent was although I have no access to see my rental payments online because they revoked my online payment access because I submitted to pay my rent September 1, and they did not attempt to take funds out of my account until September 8. On that day other bills also came out and the payment bounced and now I am FOREVER banned from paying online and have to pay with a cashiers check until I move out. Everything about this place makes me sick to my stomach. From the lackadaisical workers, to the lack of security it’s just very overwhelming. I’m not sure what happened to easy living being a virtue but living here literally feels like a chore within itself when there are much better and affordable apartments in farmington hills.

Poor response from their Leasing office. Had applied to add my brother who is a student on the Lease but it has been a week now and there is no update on it yet. Despite multiple visits to their office to get an updated I have got nothing but disappointment.

Okay so this has been a bit of a rollercoaster so ride it with me as I explain the ups and downs…. I’m giving 5 stars simply because the staff have simply gone out their way for me & although some of it is owed other times it was simply just because they really do care.So I originally came in and met with Dominic to schedule a viewing. I was a little late to the appointment but Sean was happy to take me because Dominic had another client visiting. The viewing went great and I loved the apartment. Of course the show apartment is always nicer but we’ll get to that.A few weeks go by and I decide this is the place I want. Well I call and get Ashley and she walked me through what to do to get the apartment online. I do the application and at this point I need the apartment by the end of the week. Ashley literally pushed everything through for me to get the application quickly approved and called me every step of the way. She understood the assignment and I am forever grateful! Now I get there and move in and the apartment was not in the condition for me to move in but I came so far and was so tired from the drive I unloaded and said I would address it the next day. As I unloaded I found multiple things wrong that should’ve been caught but weren’t and I was in deed frustrated but I felt this just needed to be a conversation with all feelings aside because the staff had been so great and there was no way they would’ve let me move in here KNOWING the apartment looked like it did. So i send a very detailed email and a few hours went by so I stopped pass the office. I was met at the door by Autumn the property manager and she was just about to respond to my email , she literally had it on her screen. We spoke, she compensated me, had the apartment professionally cleaned, and took note of the other issues which we have agreed on solutions for… She was absolutely amazing! Bruce the maintenance is now my new bestie because he responds to every call I make to get things right. He even brought his manager Ken over at one point just to make sure everything was ok and to see what else was needed. We are still working on some things but at least we’re working on them. Thank you to everyone who played a role in making a bad experience turn good! Your hard work and dedication is truly appreciated and I’m excited to continue my lease with you all.

There is some work to be done here. The staff at this time is seemingly putting in as much effort as they can to make this property somewhere we would all love to call “Home.” Everyone has been great in the leasing office, from handling personal concerns and events to assisting with maintenance requests. However, there are some hidden fees w/ no validity (such as lease fees, utility billing fees) that come along with this lease, that could’ve been disclosed initially or simply not charged to avoid conflict & any additional stress on both tenants and staff.

The caliber of a company can be discerned from its treatment of its employees. My partner and I made the difficult decision to pursue independent paths due to personal family challenges. She secured a position with Beztak, then RPM LIVING took over where her income drastically plummeted from a substantial monthly income of thousands a month which RPM LIVING said they would supplement which they lied their pay is piss poor not a livable wage that was the main factor making it difficult to cover our rent. Regrettably, she was subsequently terminated on allegations of "stealing time," which we find unjust, given her track record of consistently going above and beyond in her duties, often extending her efforts to address maintenance issues.& I think they fired my partner because they didn’t want to pay her adequately. The confluence of her reduced income, termination, and ongoing maintenance deficiencies culminated in our eviction. Left with no alternative, we reluctantly accepted the kind offer of fellow residents to provide temporary accommodation. However, our experience took a distressing turn when, on the second day of our stay, the regional manager, Alysse, accompanied by another manager barged in with maintenance staff, displaying an alarming level of aggression and hostility, which included offensive language maintenance screaming “niggas” around so freely and threats to involve law enforcement. This traumatic encounter was profoundly unsettling. This incident revealed Alysse, the regional manager, as the face of RPM Living, but regrettably, her behavior appeared unprofessional and discourteous,.The treatment of an individual who was not only an employee but a commendable one, leaving them in a precarious and destitute situation, reflects poorly on the company's ethical standards. This situation underscores concerns of greed and corruption within the organization. Although my partner may not vocalize it, there is a valid expectation for an apology, given the circumstances. No one should endure the treatment my partner experienced.Let us now turn our attention to the Retreat at Farmington Hills property. It is regrettable to note that the maintenance services have fallen far short of expectations. Residents often find themselves in a situation where timely repairs are a rarity. For instance, upon our initial move-in, we encountered issues with the bedroom shower that persisted for months before resolution. The explanation provided, concerning pipe-related problems, was later revealed as inaccurate when a maintenance worker from a different property efficiently corrected the issue within minutes, citing improper installation.Furthermore, instances of homophobia within the maintenance team have created discomfort for residents. The practice of placing tenants in apartments that are not move-in ready and the persistently broken building doors pose significant safety concerns. The quality of painting leaves much to be desired, evidenced by paint on the floor upon our move-in, and issues such as scattered dog feces further detract from the overall living experience. While the initial impression of the apartments may be favorable, subsequent settlement reveals numerous imperfections. Neglect in salting the ground during snowfall, leading to flooding when the snow melts, further highlights a lack of consideration for resident well-being. It is evident that residents may feel reduced to mere financial transactions in the eyes of the management. These concerns collectively call for a reevaluation of the company's commitment to the welfare of its residents. Honestly I would stay far away from any place or job that has RPM LIVING attached to it the reviews are true. I could say so much more but I said enough .

Be extremely cautious about moving here, I gave proper notification of notice to vacate and an extra month was added to the amount owed upon given notice to my lease termination, I did the right thing by notifying them early and following lease terms regarding early vacate of the premises and it meant nothing on top of that I was told that I would be contacted to discuss and settle any amount owed; however, no one ever reached out to me by mail, phone or email regarding this matter and consequently, they just sent it to collections without prior notice.

The ignorant inbred individuals at The Retreat at Farmington Hills are guilty of illegal activity by trying to fabricate false statements about water bills. My lawyer is handling the situation so it’s dismissed without prejudice. Autumn and Alyse are lying, deceiving disrespectful people who ignore reality so they can appear to be better than they are. They have no experience or knowledge which is why cheap labor excels with RPM living. Take it from someone who worked there and left. Uploaded several videos and audio recordings to social media platforms so others can witness firsthand what to expect from this horrible property. Mold infested basements and apartments. They are putting lipstick on a pig. Make sure you record any interaction with mangement so you have proof of their craziness.
