“My family joined Fenton Family Medicine right before Covid hit, and we did not get off to the best start. However , we have been very happy with the care that we received there since.… We see Dr. Zerafa, but most of the time are scheduled with Lisa Hill, his nurse practitioner , who we have come to love and actually request now. She has been amazing ,thorough and very knowledgeable for us, not to mention compassionate and friendly. They are always able to accommodate us with a Same day appointment when needed If we have a sudden concern or illness, and are very efficient in following through with prescriptions or follow up appointments. We love their office staff and find them very friendly and professional too. Unfortunately, now that they are switching to the Concierge/VIP service we are no longer able to afford to stay. After giving it considerable thought.… And really weighing out all of our options, we have decided that we just cannot afford the $5000 per year that it would cost us, in addition to the out of pocket premiums that we pay to even have that care, to receive quality healthcare that we had thought we were getting all along. We are now getting ready to retire, and even though they could break down into quarterly payments, we have no choice but to find someone else to manage our healthcare. This saddens us as we get older and need them more than ever. I really hope this works out for them, but my fear is that the people who pay this may feel entitled to their treatment at any time ,as the new agreement states ,they are at your disposal 24/7. I know both Dr. Zerafa and Lisa have families and some people can be pretty demanding at times. I just can’t help but worry that this may not be a good long-term solution for them , but I hope I’m wrong. They have been good to us and I really wish them the best. We will miss them.”
