Catfé Lounge is a unique cat café and a direct part of the Ferndale Cat Shelter rescue. The cats and kittens in its care are all available for adoption. For an $18 admission fee, visitors can grab a coffee, enjoy baked goods, and spend time in a community space making new feline friends. The concept is cool, offering a nice experience to hang out with cats for an hour, whether looking to adopt or just wanting some feline company. The lounge is home to many cats, often sleeping or not wanting to be bothered, though they may warm up to visitors over time. A few cats are advertised as being a little mean and should not be touched, but many are cute and love to play. The space allows a total of 15 people at a time, and reservations are strongly recommended as weekends fill up fast. The place also hosts activities like crochet classes, where interacting with the kitties is a nice bonus. Volunteers and employees are present for safety, and visitors can use the two restrooms in the waiting area.
