Find a better financial institution. After being a member of Credit Union One for over 20 years, I will be closing all of our accounts. On a Saturday afternoon, my family experienced a tragedy, and we needed to admit three of our pets to a vet hospital. However, I was unable to leave a deposit because the credit union has an arbitrary spending limit and, due to their very limited hours of operation, we couldn't reach anyone by phone to resolve the issue. Our pets were unable to receive treatment because Credit Union One prevented us from accessing our money in our accounts.

I was extremely satisfied with the service and the outcome of my visit. The representative was very courteous, pleasant and professional, and when she ran into an issue she asked for assistance from another representative who stepped up to help and the issue was resolved. That is one of the reasons (1 of many) why I’ve been a member with this credit union for decades and appreciate the quality of service that Credit Union One has become known for…Thank you Jackie for the time you spent with me to resolve my issue, a grateful member…

It wasn't busy. I walked up and waited for the teller to greet me before moving forward. I made a check deposit and requested cashback. I had a post-it note attached with the number of denominations that I needed. She entered the info into her terminal and put the cash in an envelop and handed it to me. I found it unusual that she did not count the money out to me; so, I removed the cash and counted it out to myself while standing at the window.Sometimes I appreciate a little 'small talk'; but, there was none of that. Its okay. When I was younger I didn't talk much either. Now that I am a senior, you cannot shut me up.Happy Holidays!

What I love about this institution is that no request is too stupid or silly that you can’t at least ask the representatives a question. Everyone acknowledges your presence in the building without making you feel as if you were being spied on. It’s a friendly atmosphere.

Horrible service. 4 windows open and one person working. No hello...nothing. Lobby wasn't open when it should of been per posted hours. Very rude unintelligent person. I'm a member of this credit union and this is my first time at this location and will never go back. I'm thinking of going to another credit union. It's MY money and you wouldn't have a job without your customers. BE BETTER or end up without customers and a job!!

I cannot say enough great things about my experience. Stephanie Kilburn was amazing. She was right on top of everything and walked me step by step through the whole process. All the time she was gracious and very nice. I really think she's an amazing employee of Credit Union One. You're the only place I would go for anything...been with you over 35 years. I am rating my recent visit to Credit Union One a # 3. Unfortunately, 9 Mile Road in Ferndale, Michigan is under construction, with no detour signs, just barriers. So, I decided to go inside where the one line was long. There were 2 Trainees and 1 Trainer who was commuting back and forth as needed. Everyone was patiently waiting and watching this slow process which was inconvenient for the customer and tedious for the new employee. Training new recruits has advantages and disadvantages. It can also create negative energy and resentment to those you serve!

For many years I’ve been with credit union one, and they’ve been very loyal to me in their business ventures. I will continue to be with credit union one, but I’ve made a mistake in the past with them that I shouldn’t done in the first place. Trust has to be within two parties, myself and credit union. To this day I’m building up my trust and Learning from the past mistakes that I’ve done and moving on.

Their system for handling ACH payments (direct deposit, PayPal, etc.) went down two days ago. They still have no idea what's wrong, or how to fix it. Meanwhile, every customer who's living paycheck to paycheck is having everything bounce or overdraft, and the employees at their headquarters DO NOT CARE.Don't EVER use this incompetent menagerie of amateurs.

There is not enough room to write all the good things I can say about this Credit Union! We have been customers for 25 years from one state to another we have stayed with Credit Union One. How they have consistently hired warm, caring professionals I will never know. They have seen us through moves, thefts, restoring our credit after my husband’s illness. All with grace and caring. When I talk with them on the phone I always feel like I’m their only customer!

The branch at Maple Rd in West Bloomfield has the worst customer service. The manager is rude the Assistant manager is rude. They talk about their customers among themselves and are not friendly. This place needs to have all new staff ASAP.

Opening a business account as an existing account holder was a slow, painful process, where I was expect to give answers to a dozen different questions about how much business we'll be doing (something no startup can possibly ever have a way of knowing), and then the email address on my personal account was changed to my business account as well. If I'm lucky, that's the ONLY thing that got changed...

I very rarely have to go inside or do transactions with tellers, and I’m glad I don’t. Very dry, unpleasant, unwelcoming attitude from the one teller that was working and assisted me. I will definitely avoid going inside for assistance in the future.
