I opened an account because they had branches close to me. Within a month, they closed all the branches that were close to me. They have no ATMs other than at the branches, which is the whole point of ATMs to begin with, and you get charged to use other ATMs. Most banks only charge you to use other ATMs when they have a lot of them you can go to. Huntington's seem to only be at the branches.I was excited when they came out with the 'Standby Cash', which you could borrow at any time without any bearing or effect on your credit score. Then they changed their TOS, linking it to your credit score. Then they started lowering the amount you could use, based on your account balance averages, which is absurd because if you have the money in your account that they require for you to borrow the full amount, you wouldn't need to use the Standby Cash option in the first place. NOW they changed it again, charging a 5% "cash advance' fee to use it.This bank is NOT a community friendly bank. Bidenomics has made it hard for everyone to carry a good balance in your account at all times and most people are living check to check. It appears that this bank doesn't consider the fact that our economy is in the toilet and while I do understand the need to protect your assets, they are applying their ridiculous policies to people who are in good standing. I have never had an overdraft or missed any payments back to Standby Cash the times I have used it. There is no good reason to punish the people who haven't been a risk to their bottom line. They could have simply charged a 5% interest, so that people who made their payments on time wouldn't be affected. That way, the only people penalized would be the people who weren't living up to their part of the deal.On that note, it is amazing that I have never had an overdraft or missed a payment, because their online banking website is a piece of crap. You can't keep track of transactions because their system bounces them all around, so you can never see your transactions in the order they were enacted. You can't rely on the website for accurate transaction dates. I have never used online banking at any other bank that doesn't display your transactions in order, have detailed info about those transactions and the dates they were made.I don't use checks, so I don't have a register to keep track. I shouldn't need one, if my bank has an adequate website to use for your accounting.Anyway, the 5% "cash advance" fee was the final straw for me. NOT because I use Standby Cash that often, but because I cannot stand any business that changes their TOS as frequently as Huntington Bank has done. It screams of predatory business practices. They have changed their TOS for Standby Cash 3 times this year and not ONCE were any of those changes in favor of the customer. There are a lot of other cash advance options out there, your bank shouldn't add new fees to a program THEY offered to people as a "perk". You can get a cash advance from Zayzoon and they only charge a flat rate of $5 per transaction, no matter how much you take. I can get an advance of $500/day and it only costs me $5 when they deduct it from my check.

I wish I could give this bank 0 stars because it does not deserve any! Literally worst bank ever. Deposits take forever to become available, they say they have overdraft, but they don't. Cancelling my checking and savings account immediately. I do not trust them with my money.

This bank has NO pricacy, I stood ready to deposit 2k and was asked?'s; the last time I was there it took 30 minutes with a disabled old man clearly parked in"Handicapped" with his old Seville Cadilliac and learned from over-hearing that the old man had over 48K in Savings; his aide or daughter were waiting in line so long, that they had to give the old man a chair!A Banker would have been good, but NO!Today, this jerk Michael Hayes/Teller at the Dort Hwy, Flint , MI Branch was entirely rude by questiong a deposit amongst other customers-when I responded about "confidentiality" he acted like he never heard the word and cussed me to the door-This bank is from HELL! Removing my $ next!

I have been with Huntington for years and am changing banks. They flag purchases for nearly everything I do. Then when calling customer services to "fix" it they want me to jump through all kinds of hoops. This "flagging" seems to be more about controlling purchases rather than protecting from fraud.

0 Stars. This bank sucks, and stay away. God forbid you ever suffer fraudulent charges to your account. When you go in to the bank to talk to them, they will blame you, someone else on your account, or someone in your family. They will dismiss any possibility of legitimate fraud taking place. If you complain to much they will have you escorted out of the building. Horrible business practice. They want your money but don't want to work to secure it. Stay away, save yourself the hassle, the headache, and the loss of money. They are more on the side of all the fraudsters than they are on your side. The 1 star is only because I have to give it a star.

Have a loan for an RV I purchased. It was totaled through no fault of my own. The insurance paid a payment to Huntington for almost the amount of the loan and another payment was made from the extended warranty that I purchased. Both payments were made before the grace period of my next payment. There is still a small balance for the GAP to pay. I checked on the loan and it showed a late fee charge. They did not care that they received money all that they care about is if it comes from me. Now I have a late payment charge on top of all of the money that I have already lost due to this accident. They will not even work with me until the GAP pays the remaining balance. The "customer service" lady was extremely rude and when I asked if there was anything they could do, she just said no. No compassion at all! This bank is horrible. Even when we were making payments on time, the reminder that we received always seem like an attempt to collect a debt.

Will be refinancing soon, with another lender at a lower interest rate. I made a car payment yesterday, and a principle payment. They charged me two times for both payments, and told me they had to write me a check that will take 7-10 business days. Now I'm short on funds until the check arrives, which is ridiculous. a glitch in their system causes me a hardship, and nothing can be done.

I'm leaving no stars. Laron, branch manager, was so nice, helpful, called you back. He referred me to a small business manager for a loan . I told Nick over a month ago that I need a business loan quickly, yet to put in an application. They have so many hoops to jump just to put in application. The loan officer is not in house. All over the phone, which would be fine if the loan officer ever called you back, looked at your emails, held meetings set, or wanted to meet with you. Or wanted to give you your turn. But with huntington, it's never your turn, also left in the lurch. So save yourself the grief and frustration, and choose a different financial institution.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This place is the worst not only did they steal my kids money, they false advertised and have a bunch of very unhelpful representatives. The manager at the local branch was very rude had no answers and failed to explain the policy they chose to use to steal from you and make it impossible to use your bank account. They treated me subhuman refuse to fix the issue and stole my money. Run as fast and as far away from this instatution.

Atrocious experience with their mortgage lending department. Initially, he was very avaliable, told me we were going to move forward after pre-approval on a home. Three weeks later, after I repeatedly asked for a call back so we could discuss questions and sent emails with mortgage questions with no response, I got an email from him that I needed a co-signer based on the underwriter. I was completely unprepared by him for this and yet this didn't even warrant a call?!? This was for my HOME! I called and left another message because, of course, no answer, emailed. He, evidently, was scared of talking with me(?), I never was able to talk to him in person during this.Luckily, I had another private lender come through. I called and left a message (of course), and emailed to say I was withdrawing and he responded he was "sad" it wasn't going forward. Then, several days later he starts emailing back to unanswered loan questions I had the week before I ended the application thinking I wanted to pursue another application. Do you even look at the dates of emails?Just a mess and such an unprofessional experience. I wouldn't trust this department as far as I could throw it.
