Great store with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Skip the big box store and head to Flat Rock Hardware. You'll never have to wander from aisle to aisle looking for someone to help you. These guys assist you as soon as you walk in the door. A+++

What used to be Flat Rock DYI has now become Krzyske and some notable changes have taken place. The new store is heavily invested in fasteners. They carry more bolts screws and hardware than before. They don’t carry much in the way of paints now. Don’t ask me to use latex paint. Old school oil based paint for me. I would say the electrical and plumbing departments arethe same. Still. I use this store. It’s local. It’s got what I need. Zip. I’m in I’m out and on my way. Someone always comes to help me find stuff and stays with me to see me checked out.

They have a nice set up for individual nuts, bolts, washers, special things like shafts, hitch pins, push pins for automotive, various pins for shelving, individual sockets and wrenches. Just like an old school hardware. Love it

The hardware guy suggested the store brand drill bits. I was skeptical of a store brand. But he was right. The Best Cobalt dril bit are way better than Dewalt, Irwin, American Vermont. I just drilled 30 holes in steel angle iron and the 1/8" bit is still sharp. I bought 3 because they rarely last. Only used 1!

Is there anything better than the neighborhood hardware store? Excellent selection, and the staff really know their stuff. You cannot get this kind of service from a big box store. Highly recommend!
