Today is 7/28 /24 While Shopping at Meijer, i was monitored by sales associate at the self check out ,which made me feel extremely uncomfortable(the check out closest to the produce area.) white lady, medium build, dark hair ,guessing about 5ft 6. There were others checking out and she chose to monitor me. It's 8:11 a.m. I didn't ask for help and I didn't need any help. I've been shopping at Meijer in flat rock since it opened( live in flat rock 17 years) and I have never felt like I was being followed, monitored or profiled. Howerer, today I felt harassed...she made it very clear that she was monitoring me. Once I finished checking out, as i was leaving the store she walked away from where she stood watching me the exact same time as I was leaving and stood by her register...I'm writing a review because I never wanna feel like that again while shopping at Meijer in Flat Rock.

The workers were friendly, bottle return was veryyyy busy but clean for the heavy traffic. I love the self-service for cash from bottles instead of waiting in line. I don't enjoy shopping in big stores and for long times, due to my legs hurting. In and done works great for me.

I stopped at Meijer on my way home from work, for 1 thing, potting soil... not a single bag found inside the store, only in the garden center, which was unaccessible/closed... may I suggest, a basic partial aisle inside the store for late, last minute garden supplies, seasonal of course. I went out of my way, in a different direction to come to Meijer, to ultimately go back to shop at a store that I purposely went out of my way to avoid...
