I had my hair cut for the last 30 years by a family friend. She retired and moved up north. Now what to do? I researched for a couple months and decided on Strands due to their Google reviews and the info from the Strands website. Shayla was absolutely awesome! June initially cut my hair and then Renae did the 2nd time and both times were great! Very nice staff, welcoming environment and only a block away from me. Will make it a point to go here when a haircut is needed 👍🏻

Renee did an awsome cut and color on me. I love the gray blend and the organic color. First time in a while my scalp didnt bother me after a color. The prices are reasonable too.

Renee did a great job on my very first haircut at Strands. I was quite particular about wanting a very small trim so I could keep my very long length and that I also wanted to try adding some long bangs. Renee gave me exactly what I asked for, and I appreciated that she double checked with me on the length of the bangs right before she cut them. Strands is a great local salon with affordable prices. They have knowledgeable, welcoming and experienced hair stylists, and the early 1900s building is quite nice inside and out—equally appealing to both men and women alike.

Love this place! Shayla did a beautiful haircut and color for my daughter and the other ladies as just as talented, experienced and kind. I highly recommend giving them a try if you’re looking for a professional stylist. Place was clean and staff is friendly.

Not wheelchair accessible, prices that were online were different than in store, she didn't have time to do my full cut. I won't be back. For someone else they might like it here. Small hometown feeling

Juniper is amazing. I’ve been goin to her for 2+ years. I’ve had an undercut the whole time but about 5 months ago I started growing/shaping it into a Mohawk. She even styled it for me. All the ladies here are amazing and sweet. But, Juniper is my girl!Services: Haircut

I originally had an appt with another salon but my hairstylist had to cancel. I tried a cpl local salons and they either were closed or the other one couldn't fit me in. I called Strands and the owner said she had a cancelation. I stopped by the salon and showed the manager a cpl pics of the color and cut I wanted. She booked me for 2 pm. The hair stylist I had was Renee. She was phenomenal. We hit it off and had a lot in common. I had June who finished with my hair by cutting it. She was phenomenal as well! They were so easy to talk to. I felt "at home." I felt comfortable. I have never felt at home at any hair salon before. I felt like just another paying customer. My hair turned out way better than the pics I showed the girls! I will definitely be back! And I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND STRANDS! thank you again for great customer service and for making me feel so AT HOME!
