Good service in general. Competitive price. I have been a customer for more than six years the problem with this brunch they don’t have a direct number whenever you need something from this location and specific all the numbers that they gave you is the central one, and the central answering machine, and they don’t know if they have cars available on site Based on what you request. For example, in one of my trips I needed a large SUV or a van and when I reserve the car on the website it says it’s available by the time I got to the location at the airport they said it’s not available and they made me wait for four hours and my trip was delayed which caused me .la lot of trouble eventually they got me a large SUV as I reserved. I give them a credit because later on some quality improvement manager called me and they gave me three free rental days. So I take it as a plus for this rental car company and I recommend it over others. They are professional in handling issues that come across you rental time.

I don't even wanna give u 1 STAR! RENTED a vehicle for 10 days and the guy wouldn't let a second driver be added without a "credit" card in their name only to stiff us for more money with insurance and such then misled us and told us we could add a second driver at another airport rental and we have literally been waiting for 2.5 hours trying to get a second person added! We will NEVER use this company again! Shame on you for lying!

DTW National Car rental has an absolutely fabulous team working the late night shift! on Sunday night/Monday morning I walked in there tired and ready for a long process to get a car... but I was met with smiles and quick, fast, and friendly service. Makayla was a super star and got me out of there with fast and easy precision. and the rest of the team was great too! impressive!

I rent from National constantly. I reserved a car a week ahead of time. When I arrived they had given my rental away. Why do I have executive status and why do I bother to reserve a car? This is bad policy. Luckily Avis found me a car when National couldn't.

People are more apt to leave negative comments for service-oriented companies, but my experience was quite positive at National car rental in Flint, MI.Made a last-minute reservation through the National app, which said cars were available, but I then received a call promptly after making the reservation to advise that there were indeed no cars available. Although the news was not what I wanted to hear, it was great to quickly know that I needed to make other arrangements for a car, so I booked through a competitor for the same location.Upon arriving at the rental car desks later that night at Bishop airport, the other rental car place was dark with no attendants present. However, MacKenzie (Kenzie) at National asked if I needed help and, when I told her my situation, she remembered my original rental and calling me earlier. By that time, a car had recently become available which she offered to me. This saved my day (and next couple days) and I appreciate the help very much! Thanks Kenzie!

For the worst selection of vehicles, lack of customer service and overall worst care possible please go to this National. You will not be let down with the poor experience you are about to have. So happy to have Executive status and rent so frequently that the 5 free rental days will be spent in the worlds worst vehicle possible after our pickup from Detroit with an amazing 20k miles on it had a failing transmission from lack of maintenance by National. What is the equivalent replacement of a Nissan Armada SUV you might ask! It's a Mitsubishi sedan hatchback. What a deal right!!!!! A 10 person vehicle to a clown car, this will certainly store the entire family! This place sucks, what a trashy company, and the attendant, well "it ain't her problem" with a shoulder shrug to boot. Such perfection at this establishment. I don't think it could have been any worse other than telling us to Uber home, which hell, might as well have.

I put a reservation in, got all the way up there to be told no car. Fine it happens. She tells me switch it for the next day so I did. I called 3 hours before my reservation to make sure there was a car and to inquire about coming early to get it. They said yes that would be no problem. I get up here an hour early (I HATE being late to anyplace) and they tell me nothing is available and I can wait till 5:30. The lady was very dismissive. Asked if I called up here and I told her I call the number in my confirmation email. Which happens to be the same number online. If you want us to call up here directly then provide that number. I also work in customer service. You can be helpful or rude and they decided to be rude. I’ve been through a lot that last 3 days. My car caught on fire and almost didn’t make it out of the car. Not everyone’s life is peaches and rainbows. No reason to assume I’m just here to get a luxury car on vacation. She wouldn’t even look into possibly getting the car early. I did wait but never again will I use this location.Update they still turned me away after waiting an hour to get a rental and on top of all that. It was the manager and she laughed in my face when she told me that there was no card available because I had a debit card. Then smiled and said you should have read the agreement. I should have absolutely but I have been through a lot and didn’t think about the agreement. I just needed a car for the weekend. Until I could figure out what was going on with my car THAT CAUGHT ON FIRE AND WAS TRAPPED IN!!!! And she thought it was ok to laugh at someone. Disgusting!!!!!!!

Renter beware! I rented an older minivan for 24 hours from the Detroit Airport National location (not too far from here) and then weeks later I received a damage claim for over $2k for very minor damage at different locations on the vehicle. I did not damage the vehicle during the 1-day rental and was not informed of any damage to the vehicle at drop off.I did my best to defend myself and explain the facts to National and it’s claim collection division, but it did not matter. They wouldn’t listen to reason. It was a headache and now I must pay $2k, which means I also must let others know the risks of renting with National. Please beware!

If I could choose a Negative number of stars I would. my flight was delayed 30 min and we landed at 10:54 pm. I had a rental paid for and they closed at 11pm ....5 min before I got there.....thanks for not waiting for me

Very bad costumer service. I called before making reservations at same day and who answered didn’t notify me on unavailability of the fleet and after booking the reservation and my friend drove me all way to flint. The counter told me there is no available care. It was not good experience. Not coming to this location again and not booking via national.

0 stars... why? They have 0 customer service stills, are racist, and after threatening to call the police on the only black woman there? She pulled up with TSA police and they started hiding. What a disgraceful company to hire such hateful people!! SMH! SHAME ON YOU! PS this is her, and the manager was hiding too! I overheard the black customer call the district manager to report the racism, still nothing was done about it. Guess what, nothing done. It breaks my heart to say that racism is still alive in Flint
