Super bummed. My husband calls in morning & asks if an item is in stock. The associate was very kind and told him yes, we have 1 left! We were pumped because this is something we needed on Sunday, and we chose to go with party city. Mind you - We found 2 on eBay and one on Amazon that would have been shipped on time before Sunday, when we needed it. We decided to give party city a shot instead. So the associate tells my husband no problem, we will hold it for you I’ll put it in the back with your name on it before end of day, just come in and let the associate know it’s held in the back for you. My husband offered to pay wihh a card over the phone, associate told him no need we will make sure it’s here for you. We could have also ordered it on your app, but we trusted it was being held until end of day, as we were promised. I go to pick up the item around 5-6pm, browse around the store, grab a couple of nifty items to purchase as well and head To the counter to grab the item in back held for us. I then said, also you are holding (said item) for my husband and I in the back as well. I didn’t even mutter the items name and the associate was shaking his head immediately and he knew. Then says, “we just sold it”… I thought it was a joke. No, it wasn’t. He informed me “it’s our company policy we only hold items based on if a customer comes in prior to your item being picked up, we have to sell it to that person, not you”. I was in shock. My heart dropped and I got butterflies because this was no long something eBay and or Amazon could now ship to us by Sunday, date needed. The associate was kind…however I truly feel someone came in asking for our item, and his manager on duty (not the woman in morning promising the hold), just told him to sell it to said customer and just tell us when we get there to pick up that so sorry, company policy we sell to customers that come in asking for item we have to sell them yours being held. I mean. This ruined a lot. Truly, it did. I feel lied to, belittled, upset, and just sick to my stomach. Needless to say, it was basically an “oh, so sorry we sold your item, bye” and blamed it on the nice woman mg husband spoke to on the phone when he called your store that denied having us pay for it over the phone with our card / and or purchasing on your app for pickup because “we will hold this for you until end of day, do not worry about, we got you”. This wasn’t just a small item, it was something particular and very necessary for what we needed it for days to come. Thanks to the insane lack of communication, absurd lies about a company policy that literally makes zero sense to Einstein himself… I’m still angry. You guys dropped the ball so hard for us, and ruined any and all ways of being able to even get this prior to needing it, as I stated above, we had it in our bags on eBay and Amazon in the morning, shipping grantees by Sunday…at the time I went to pick it up… shipping was NOT until the following day now. Thanks a lot party city, seriously. I’m beyond distasted. Nothing was even remotely close to offered to me as well. The associate that gave me what sounds to be a bs ramble told by his manager on duty, didn’t even call up his manager to offer any help or resolution. However, customer in front of me needed a price change and said manager on duty came up to register when associate easily walkied him on your little radios. Why didn’t he walkie his dang self to at least give me some reasoning? The answer is clear as crystal… I’m so mad at party city. I am a very cordial person, always kind to all everywhere I go. I was so upset, my 9; year old with me was crying, and I was just given “oops sorry, we don’t care about you, lied, and screwed you totally over”.Shame on party city….

I called to ask if they had something in stock the associate tells me yes, but it is the last one. I asked if I could pay for it over the phone and was told it’s alright no worries I’ll hold it for you till the end of the day. My wife goes to pick it up and it’s gone with no answer. I could have ordered it on Amazon and it would have been here on time but didn’t considering I was told they would hold it. It’snot a close drive and am left trying to figure something else out.

I was looking for tinsel. And we walked past a lady working. She asked if we were finding everything. I said what I was looking for and what I saw on tv and wanted to make for my granddaughter. The nice lady said follow me and away she went. I could barely keep up but it was clear what isle she turned on. And that is when I saw what I wanted, well, maybe better, because it wasn't a seasonal item. I can buy more at any time of the year. I thanked the lady over and over and she went back to her other job. Thank you lady. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Store was organized, but the personnel were having a lot of trouble keeping up with orders. Someone called off and everything when to heck there. They did work though many issues, but when making an oder, make it ahead of time - days ahead.

Only three people working including the manager in the entire store, took at least 45 minutes to get 8 balloons blown.

Salayah is the ABSOLUTE BEST employee! Made sure I had the balloons I needed & checked for all the colors I needed!! Told me which isles had the items I needed!

I bought a hello Kitty balloon for my 21st birthday and loved it. Sadly during my party it flew away so I decided to get another one. While I was at the store a female employee with blonde hair who blows up the balloons gave me a replacement. She made my day and I was on the verge of crying. thank you so much to that employee ❤️

They are out of so many things. When I had a question I was told to wait in the checkout line, mind you they had 2 women blowing up balloons and only 1 cashier, I waited in line for over 10mins when finally one of the balloon women came over to ask what I needed.
