if you are making plans of attending their program here: dont. First off, if you do not complete their program, you WILL have stuff come up missing, such as your bridgecard, and they will not give it back, and will make you have to cancel it. Also, they only focus on the work therapy portion of the program, and not the recovery part. If you so much as criticize them, as i have done,The Director of Rehab Daniel Martinez will show up at your place of work, and then make veiled threats to get you fired, and if that doesnt work, then he will give out your personal information behind your back, INCLUDING where you work. Daniel, will also repeatedly try to shove his political views down your throat in group session, even though it pertains absolutely nothing about getting your life back on track, and staying sober. Daniel himself, directed others to lie on the phone to me, about never bringing a bridge card into the program, despite the fact i called Department of Health and Human Services, and they have a record of it being used 8 days before i left the program to go to New Paths. Back in 2007, around this time they'd have a full house count, when i was there they only had 30-40 people staying there, so that should yell you something. Finally, if they do not like who you are hanging around with, they will go out of their way to set you up. The Ast Resident mgr at the time, Benjamin Beitler directed somebody at the desk to put rubbing alcohol on the breathalyzer, (as it is required for people who sign out, to breathalyze before reentry to ensure you are not plastered). Mind you, this was during the height of the pandemic, when nobody knew anything about anything about COVID, and the whole country was locked down. They put the rubbing alcohol, on the breathalyzer, to make it look like i was drinking while i was signed out, and then when the numbers went up, Ben got all excited, and then had me sit, and wait to retake. I retook, and passed. Was really, sick and depraved, because he did not like who i was hanging around with, and he decided to take it upon himself, to try to get me kicked out, with no place to go, and no plan. Finally, during the first week i was there, i was having issues with my bowel movement, and it was causing severe stomach pain, and they did NOTHING... NOTHING to help, except accusing me of faking it, to get out of work therapy, and threaten to kick me out. It was 2 weeks, before they finally allowed me to go to Hamilton Clinic. Sick people!Edit: There is also an individual by the name of Mike Dodge, who is an inhouse employee, and he likes to slander anybody he don't like, he will claim that anybody who does not complete the program, has no job, has no money, and is drinking, and homeless. Despicable slimy excuse of a "human". He is less than human and is a lifer who is too scared to get a place on the outside.

Called in the morning about donating some furniture that I have and the guy over the phone said to call once I arrived and they would come out and help me unload my vehicle. I did just that and they told me to come inside. I go inside and explain to an employee that I had called about large furniture and need help unloading it (as was promised) and he says "Nahh, I need to see it first". So I take him out to my vehicle, and before I can even get my truck open he says "Nope I won't take that." He then proceeds to tell me that it's only good for sitting on the side of the road and that's where I should leave it. I was absolutely appalled, not only was that beyond rude but now I had a vehicle full of furniture and responsibilities I couldn't attend to because of it.

Been here a couple times and haven’t been back. Prices are shocking, considering it is located in one of the lowest income areas of Flint. Maybe take note of the population you are serving.

This Salvation Army is out of touch with reality. Charging lots log money for literal junk. Not to mention this store is in a rough area of Flint. What community do they think they’re serving here?! Waste of time.

They have recently remodeled and seem to have remodeled their price structure along with it (for the better) I found a sewing machine for $25 and she lives! I can’t tell you how many times a sewing machine would have saved my butt leading up to my wedding. Staff was super polite and even asked if I was finding everything ok. I actually thought that was funny because who goes thrifting with any expectations?I found some canning jars and a glass cactus, too.

The prices of the items that the salvation army is selling have gotten out of hand. They're selling used items for retail prices which doesn't make sense to me. Since they closed the furniture store next door they have everything all jam packed in the clothing store. And you can't shop more than five minutes with gospel music blaring in the background getting on your nerves.

I will never go back..over priced junk .and the return policy sucks ..can not try anything on so you will buy over priced junk that don't fit .they take your money and find every reason not to take it back ...they are a scam ..don't buy this junk.its time for stores like this to shut their doors or price junk right.call it the one dollar junk sale .then you won't care if it don't fit or don't work .
