I would recommend this place to anyone, but especially rat owners, as it can be difficult to find a knowledgeable vet for small animals. They also neutered my dog, and it went very well.”

“I brought my 5 year old Belgian Malinois Ellie in for a fatty mass removal and just from setting up the appointment on the phone, I could tell we were in very good hands. Brought her in for a CT scan and a few other things on Tuesday January 13th, went in for surgery on Wednesday January 14th and brought Ellie home on Thursday January 15th!! From the front desk staff, to the vet techs, to Dr. Zellner, I couldn't be anymore happy with the care my baby girl got. Everyone here was so incredibly friendly and the communication was amazing; overall just a great place for this procedure.

For the CT scan / minor stuff and the surgery, I spent just about $4500 dollars in total and while that may sound expensive; the care my dog received and the open communication with staff was well worth the price. You for sure get what you pay for at this place and I can't stress just how amazing the experience was.

My girly dog is back home and resting comfortably while she is on her road to recovery!! Thank you to everyone at this facility for taking care of my heartbeat; I am already giving out recommendations for other people to come here if their pets have any major issues. I genuinely can not put into words just how impressed and happy I was with this entire experience. Bringing your pet in for any type of surgery is always scary but these guys and girls here took all the nerves away so quick when I saw how they treated Ellie.

“Dr. Limbaugh has always been great with my dog since we first started bringing him 5 years ago straight from animal control. They treated his heartworm successfully and he has been negative every year since. They have affordable pricing and a compassionate care team. Today when I picked my dog up from his dental cleaning he appeared very well taken care of. I received clear discharge instructions and results of lab work in hand.

“I live nearly an hour away, and I will gladly make that drive because of the integrity of this clinic.

After returning from a vacation, I noticed a large sore above my almost 14-year-old dog’s tooth. I first took him to a veterinarian closer to home, where I expressed my concern about his age and the risks of putting him under anesthesia for dental extractions. I left that visit feeling pressured into extensive testing and costly procedures, with an estimate in the thousands and no availability for over a month.

Given his age, life expectancy, and stage of life, my only priority was his comfort and quality of life — not putting him through unnecessary surgeries and more pain.

When I brought him here, they got us in quickly. With one careful examination, the doctor gently and honestly explained that it was an aggressive form of cancer. She took the time to walk me through the options, clearly explaining what could be done, but always with my dog’s best interest at the center of the conversation — not money, not procedures, just compassion and truth.

This clinic does not take advantage of people when they are vulnerable and worried about the animals they love. They lead with integrity, kindness, and genuine care.

I will continue to drive nearly an hour for honesty, compassion, and the best care my pets can receive”

“I wish I remember the doctors name but I went into this hospital for my 18 year old cat Fatty. It was time to put her to sleep and they were so sweet and treated her and me so well. “I have been going to the Veterinary Medical Hospital since the 80's for all my dogs, back when the older gentlemen owned the business. Which was ran wonderfully. He was humorous, gentle, very kind, concerned, and caring toward the pets. Since then, a new owner or the business has been passed down to a new generation. However, the hospital seems a bit rushed and not as compassionate as before. I took my dog there yesterday for a check-up, tooth exam, and a booster. When I entered the exam room, I was asked to put my dog on the scale and my dog being nervous, he squirmed and wouldn't stay still on the scale. The Doctor said "Oh he is 7.5 lbs." I tried to explain to the doctor that I had just weighed him in the waiting room and he was 6.2 lbs. He ignored me and continued to say "Yeah must have gained weight" He jotted down the inaccurate weight and proceeded to look in my dogs mouth. The doctor forcefully pried his mouth open and said "Yup he's going to need all of his teeth pulled." The doctor had NO compassion. I felt rushed, and bothersome to him. He was more concerned about getting to the next room. Then my dog's bad teeth and bad breath. So, now I am very concerned about having him perform the extractions on my dog of ten years of age. I have heard that there can be serious complications with him being older. I wasn't given a pamphlet or a printout about the procedure. I was not satisfied with this visit AT ALL! As I said before, I've been coming here for over twenty years and I have noticed a decline in their customer services and compassion toward the animals. I will give them four starts for the previous years I have been coming there and no stars for my current visit. I think they need to either get more staff or add longer hours to accommodate everyone with compassion and concern.”
