“Great facilities and people. They will take excellent care of your furry friend! Prices are great. Their only concern is keeping you pet healthy. If you're looking for a new vet, check them out. You'll be happy you did. If you need a place to leave your pet for a couple of days, check out their pet hotel. The rooms are awesome, complete with T.V. It almost made me want to stay there!”

“After a couple of years of surgeries and tests to find out what was wrong with our dog, not to mention multiple vets working on getting a diagnosis, it only took one visit with Dr. Kurt to get a correct diagnosis for our dog. I've been very happy with all of the staff here and the way they treat our animals. I have nothing but good things to say about Fohey.”

“I wish I remember the doctors name but I went into this hospital for my 18 year old cat Fatty. It was time to put her to sleep and they were so sweet and treated her and me so well. It really made the experience so much better. These people really care about their animals and their clients. I was so relieved on the humane way that they conduct these procedures.”

“Dr Walton likes dogs, my dogs like him. :) He takes his time and listens and is thorough when examining them. Anytime they've had a health problem he's been able to help them, including surgically, and get them back to their playful happy selves.UPDATE: Dr Walton is no longer there. Last time I tried to make an appointment, they had not yey found a veterinarian to replace him.”

“Highly recommend them! We were unable to get into our vet when our dog had a very painful dental emergency. West Flint was able to see our Sadie that day and performed the emergent surgery the very next morning! Their staff is compassionate, professional and very knowledgable. Their prices are reasonable. We are very grateful to Dr Miller. She is our new veterinarian!”

“Many years ago, he saved the life of our pet, Isacc. 2x!! I DO NOT-- know, where we would have been, w/out Dr. Merrithew! I loved him, as our Vet! He was so tender, gentle, & loving w Isacc. We REALLY, appreciated that! He was really, fantastic, with me- as well! As years have gone by, & I have moved out of state, out west-- I ALWAYS, have fondly thought of Dr. Merrithew and how he saved "my boy", & how he had de- stressed me, as well, during those difficult times. Isacc, lasted until, 17 1/2 years old. Now, my Daughter Jesicah lives in the Burton area & will be searching out Dr. Merrithew's assistance w HER- pet He's so wonderful”

“I have been going to the Veterinary Medical Hospital since the 80's for all my dogs, back when the older gentlemen owned the business. Which was ran wonderfully. He was humorous, gentle, very kind, concerned, and caring toward the pets. Since then, a new owner or the business has been passed down to a new generation. However, the hospital seems a bit rushed and not as compassionate as before. I took my dog there yesterday for a check-up, tooth exam, and a booster. When I entered the exam room, I was asked to put my dog on the scale and my dog being nervous, he squirmed and wouldn't stay still on the scale. The Doctor said "Oh he is 7.5 lbs." I tried to explain to the doctor that I had just weighed him in the waiting room and he was 6.2 lbs. He ignored me and continued to say "Yeah must have gained weight" He jotted down the inaccurate weight and proceeded to look in my dogs mouth. The doctor forcefully pried his mouth open and said "Yup he's going to need all of his teeth pulled." The doctor had NO compassion. I felt rushed, and bothersome to him. He was more concerned about getting to the next room. Then my dog's bad teeth and bad breath. So, now I am very concerned about having him perform the extractions on my dog of ten years of age. I have heard that there can be serious complications with him being older. I wasn't given a pamphlet or a printout about the procedure. I was not satisfied with this visit AT ALL! As I said before, I've been coming here for over twenty years and I have noticed a decline in their customer services and compassion toward the animals. I will give them four starts for the previous years I have been coming there and no stars for my current visit. I think they need to either get more staff or add longer hours to accommodate everyone with compassion and concern.”
