Anytime they've had a health problem he's been able to help them, including surgically, and get them back to their playful happy selves.UPDATE: Dr Walton is no longer there. Last time I tried to make an appointment, they had not yey found a veterinarian to replace him.”

“I've taken my Asia, which is a 1yr 9mo. Old Blue female Doberman in to see Doc since she was 5mos. old, and he has always given her the best care. He gives her all her necessary shots and examinations. Even though Doc is the only one at his hospital, he gives every dog and cat the very best of care. He is also cheaper in price than other veterinarian hospitals, which I only care about her care that she gets, and I highly recommend Doc at Genesee Veterinary Hospital.”

They take you seriously when you express concerns and they're always happy to help. You can get meds without an appointment every time. It's first come first serve so it's very nice if you just have a little time to squeeze in what you need. (I know they are going to appointments but I appreciated the service anyway) I would recommend this place and their kindness to everyone.”

We REALLY, appreciated that! He was really, fantastic, with me- as well! As years have gone by, & I have moved out of state, out west-- I ALWAYS, have fondly thought of Dr. Merrithew and how he saved "my boy", & how he had de- stressed me, as well, during those difficult times. Isacc, lasted until, 17 1/2 years old. Now, my Daughter Jesicah lives in the Burton area & will be searching out Dr. Merrithew's assistance w HER- pet He's so wonderful”

“I have been going to the Veterinary Medical Hospital since the 80's for all my dogs, back when the older gentlemen owned the business. Which was ran wonderfully. He was humorous, gentle, very kind, concerned, and caring toward the pets. Since then, a new owner or the business has been passed down to a new generation. However, the hospital seems a bit rushed and not as compassionate as before. I took my dog there yesterday for a check-up, tooth exam, and a booster. When I entered the exam room, I was asked to put my dog on the scale and my dog being nervous, he squirmed and wouldn't stay still on the scale. The Doctor said "Oh he is 7.5 lbs." I tried to explain to the doctor that I had just weighed him in the waiting room and he was 6.2 lbs. He ignored me and continued to say "Yeah must have gained weight" He jotted down the inaccurate weight and proceeded to look in my dogs mouth. The doctor forcefully pried his mouth open and said "Yup he's going to need all of his teeth pulled." The doctor had NO compassion. I felt rushed, and bothersome to him. He was more concerned about getting to the next room. Then my dog's bad teeth and bad breath. So, now I am very concerned about having him perform the extractions on my dog of ten years of age. I have heard that there can be serious complications with him being older. I wasn't given a pamphlet or a printout about the procedure. I was not satisfied with this visit AT ALL! As I said before, I've been coming here for over twenty years and I have noticed a decline in their customer services and compassion toward the animals. I will give them four starts for the previous years I have been coming there and no stars for my current visit. I think they need to either get more staff or add longer hours to accommodate everyone with compassion and concern.”

“Can’t say enough how great this facility is.After coming from a vet that tried toextremely racketeer us in over a grand of fees. We ended up coming here for our kitty who hadn’t eaten in days and was very sick. The exam and medication were only 95. They did blood testing, prescribed us the correct medication. And now two weeks later our kitty has fully recovered and is healthy! These people are very passionate about helping animals and am very thankful for them.”
