Birchwood Mall is a large, well-maintained regional mall located in Port Huron, Michigan. It offers strong anchors like Target, JCPenney, Bath and Body Works, and Dunham’s Sports, alongside a broad range of national retailers. The main attraction is a beautiful, cheap, and fun antique carousel, with a cotton candy machine nearby. Amenities include a 10-screen movie theater, a children’s play area, and a 450-seat food court, though the food court now has only a few choices and features a basketball court where seating used to be. The mall has done innovative things with some spaces, filling them with artists and creative shops. While it remains open for shopping, browsing, and moviegoers, the mall is often relatively empty with many shop vacancies. Plenty of parking is available. Like many malls, it faces challenges from online shopping, and some visitors worry about its future. However, it serves as an important local mall, and there is hope that more storefronts will be filled in the coming years.
Kids always enjoy coming to this mall. Can't skip the carousel! Friendly people. Unfortunatelly many stores are empty.

Like many malls around the country brick and mortar businesses are dying out. Food court only has a few choices, like literally a few. There’s actually a basketball court where the food court seating used to be. Plenty of parking because no one comes here.

A lot of stores are closing. But nice to see some action.
