Bernthals--always a great experience. I go there twice a year to pick up a side of beef. Great communication on their part, and they're always timely packaging my meat and sending it out on the conveyer for me to load!

WOW! the prices and quality are both 100%!! I now have my whole family driving here to get their meats. The venison bacon they make from your ground deer meat is just amazing as well!

Price gets higher and higher every year, I’ll never go there ever again in a million years. They’ll also delete your reviews on FB if they don’t like them. Terribly priced opposed to other places to take deer to id give them a -4 stars as every year it’s worse and worse

Go here for deer processing, if you like pay double what Norm's would charge. They skimp on the pork and cheese in the deer sausage, and won't warn you that you get charged the credit card processing fee, until they have already completed the transaction.And they don't really care, either. Apparently, they have plenty of folks they can pull the wool over.

Great Meat, Great Service ! Got a deer done there and it was vacuumed sealed to perfection. Their shaved ribeye for cheese steaks on the black stone is the best I have found in the tri-cities. Their meet is always fresh.

We brought two moose in to Bernthal’s Packing on October 10th for processing after our previous processor retired. We received back roughly half the meat we expected based on moose we’ve previously harvested. Somehow, we are missing approximately 400lbs. of moose meat including all our backstraps/chops. We received zero chops and only about 100lbs. of steaks. We have previously harvested moose and had them processed locally, so we know approximately how much meat we should have received back. We are very careful with handling of our meat in the bush. We use tarps to lay the meat on and put the quarters in game bags immediately. The quarters are hung out of the sun and kept covered from the rain and snow. For the trip home, we have a large, insulated game cooler that we fill with ice blocks. I called Phil (owner) to explain that we believe we were missing the equivalent of an entire moose and the fact that we received no chops and few steaks. He seemed a little surprised and put me on hold while he went to check. He came back and said they had no moose meat in the back. Jacob (the owner’s son), and who we dealt with before and during processing, was nearly impossible to get ahold of as he wouldn’t return any of our phone calls. When I was finally able to reach Jacob, his claim was that all our meat was covered in fly eggs and that he had to trim a lot off. That was impossible for one of the moose that was killed in cold weather and never exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees. The other moose did hang during a couple of warmer days, but even if there were some fly eggs on the quarters, they would be superficial and easily scraped or cut off. If I were the processor, and had to scrap a large amount of someone’s meat, I would take pictures as proof to the customer. In our opinion, it seems something very fishy is going on, as it just doesn’t add up.

They're constantly rude. everything they have is overpriced and sub par. Go anywhere else, Hell even Kroger is better. Phil is a employee there and you can tell he hates people. no time for anyone but himself. Horrible business. Im honestly surprised they're still in business.

They have a good variety of fresh and frozen meat, fish and cheese among other things. Worth a stop!
