A Prime example of a business run with an absent owner. Over the years living near here, the employees have flat out refused to do work on two out of three vehicles of mine (I am a car collector). This last experience is what forced me to leave this one star review. I was told to bring my car in when I called yesterday, came in, then after showing the simple instructions of the exhaust system that needs to be replaced, I was told they would call me back and let me know if they could work on it, and to bring it back to the shop again, if they indeed could work on it. All the bays but one were empty. I took time out of my schedule to come by as you requested, just to tell me to come back again while twiddling your thumbs. It wont be long before this place closes shop.

Franklin is the go-to for servicing an out-of-warranty vehicle. They are very professional with clean estimates and no b.s. It's hard to find good service in this day and age, but these guys offer it in spades. (I think they must also be the candy & gum shop of choice for the town's kids because their counter selection is incredible! 😂)

I am extremely happy with the service I received from Franklin Auto Service. I wont give a long dissertation on my situation. However, I will simply say that you can trust them, their pricing is fair and their automotive knowledge is top tier. I'll never go anywhere else.

They were friendly. However, they charged me $165 just to diagnose the problem with my car. Then they tried to charge me $775 (including the $165) to fix the problem. I left.
I went to another mechanic who charged me $350 to fix the same issue. The other mechanic diagnosed the problem with my description of the issue and wouldn't have charged me $165 for the diagnoses.
I'm not sure why there was such a price discrepancy. Perhaps they tried to scam me (as I’m not a car person and I don’t know better) or their prices are simply outrageous. Either way, I won't be going back.

Brought a Subaru to them to inspect before purchasing. CARFAX recommended them as the shop that saw the most Subarus in the area, aside from the stealerships. They were absolutely fantastic. Professional, inquisitive, and honest. The tech took the time to explain and show things I didn’t understand at first. The cost was very fair and the time spent was not wasted. Would highly recommend for such service. I also had them quote one of the repairs and that was also competitive.
