The local Tuffy Dealer was great. Thanks Aaron and Dan. Mavis is the problem. They provide an $80 coupon but you'll never collect because they can''t read your receipt. Local folks care but the corporate parent doesn't care at all. Local Tuffy is great but don't expect anything from the Mavis parent company.”

“Well, apparently it's under new management, which I didn't know. But since I found that out, I'll let that be known. Joseph was so friendly, so kind, and just amazing, both as a human and as a service provider. Since I literally live about a block away, I will be coming here all the time for service, primarily because of my interaction with Joseph. Not to mention, he is the only person who has ever shown me my filter and explained why my oil changes cost more or to see that it's new. No one has ever done that in the two years that I've had this vehicle. That's at least seven times I have changed the oil (over three months a few times).”
“I am removing my old review to post this updated one because these guys need to give themselves a lot of credit here for the incredible work they do. I have been going to this shop for almost two years now, and I can confidently say they are the absolute gold standard for automotive service. I brought them a nearly 30-year-old vehicle, and the team here immediately identified major, obvious structural and mechanical issues that a previous shop completely missed. I had been totally ripped off by that previous shop—paying thousands for lazy work and fake inspections where they claimed nothing was wrong—but the crew here actually took the time to do things right and caught everything.
What truly sets this shop apart is that they aren't just parts-changers; they are true craftsmen who take massive pride in their work. To take this on, with the massive amount of work involved here, you have to understand that first and be sort of a car enthusiast since it takes a level of time, precision, and dedication that a lot of people just don't have the patience for. They regularly go completely out of their way to make sure a job is done to absolute perfection, even taking on the tedious, frustrating task of fixing the shoddy, broken work left behind by incompetent mechanics. For this entire project, they kept me informed with detailed updates every two weeks until it was completely done. Because of that consistent communication, I never once felt like my vehicle was in bad hands.
Their level of care and transparency is unmatched. They provide clear documentation, including photos and videos, organized in a detailed portfolio for your specific vehicle. They walk through absolutely everything over the phone with deep mechanical explanations without ever being pushy, prioritizing honesty over a quick buck.
The owner and the entire crew treat you with incredible respect and run their business with old-school integrity. They have put an immense amount of pride, time, and elite craftsmanship into my vehicle, treating it like a prized project rather than just another car on a lift. From the front desk to the guys in the shop, everyone here is incredibly friendly, honest, and highly skilled. For any and all work moving forward, this will be the only shop to ever touch my vehicle. For the guy who used to work with such “complicated” issues like grammar or literature, all technical problems and auto technology sound like a “cosmic” mistery…
And suddenly comes the moment that you have to get someone, who will resolve a mechanical problem with your car…
If you run into bad people and they recognize your ignorance, they will feel free to manipulate you and cheat on you (such common these days)!
Then the most important thing is to find someone trustworthy and honest, someone who will do it for you the same way - no difference - the big genius or ignorant you are…
And I found such place! Classic Automotive Repair in Sterling Heights!!!
All those guys - in customer service - Gus and Steve, all their mechanics - are like from exemplary, excellent book story.
They are very knowledgeable, but considerate, tactful, modest and very professional and friendly at the same time!
They create the atmosphere like you are among friends or family members. They explain to you all meander around your vehicle in the way that everyone can understand! There is no even one second that you could think that they want just get money from you and make business on your misfortune!
All those guys are presenting the highest skills in aspects of professional knowledge and also difficult dealing with disoriented individuals like me! Their honesty was many times evaluated and confirmed many, many times!
It’s not a coincidence that they are in business 36 years!

“Just got my brakes and rotors done here And I also got a full synthetic oil change, a couple of guys help me out They are fantastic. They did in the timely manner. They had a really nice waiting room for me to sit in offered me water. And they were a four minute walk from a place called chickpea restaurant that was really good and my car sounds amazing. I had a lot of people recommend them. I also had a girl that stopped in for an oil change. It’s been with them three times now. She has been really happy with them too, and I would really recommend them over and over again. This is the only place I’m gonna go to do my oil changes and my tires because that was also the cheapest oil change I’ve gotten in a really long time everywhere else has been well over 100 and that was really affordable”
