Great place to come, and XC ski from the beginner to the elite XC racer to train. Great people working here, who are compassionate about quality an XC skiing area.

Great trails and people. The trails are smartly laid out with wide and well groomed paths. I skied around 8 miles of them and all had both classic and skate ski tracks. A perfect entry in the northern Michigan XC ski culture.

My new "Happy Place " You go here for serious XC skiing. Outstanding trails and grooming. The snow making loop means you can at least get out there. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Lessons available for all levels at reasonable prices.

This place is amazing! We drive up from southern Indiana for a cross country skiing trip as often as we can. They have a wide variety of groomed trails, both classic and skate for all skill levels. They offer lessons. The owners and team working at Forbush are so unbelievably friendly and helpful. We had a blast again this year!

Great place to go XC skiing! Trails are always well groomed and there are lots to choose from, regardless of how good a skier you are. Midweek skiing is never very busy, you will pass someone every 5-10 minutes on the trails. You will almost always find at least 2 or more people in the warming hut (there are plenty of places to sit down). The employees inside the sales and ski rental building are very nice and down to earth. You can ask them anything (about skiing). They are very knowledgeable and won't make you feel like a four-year-old for asking them even basic questions, and they know the answer to the hardest skiing question you can think of.Just go, you won't be disappointed!

The trails were freshly groomed with tracks set. Being our first trip here, we made a wrong turn and skied the loop twice. The bad land area is a bit tiresome but a nice workout. Definitely need to carry a trail map with you. The scenery is great and most of time the trails are very quiet with only the sound of falling snow piles and a few 'hellos' from the passing skiers. Next time we will bring a light lunch to enjoy a break in the charming warming yurt. The loop with man-made snow is definitely a plus and a dream come true.
