If I could give this shit hole zero stars, I would. This place is a disgrace of a hospital. It should be shut down. I would never let my loved one come here by choice, unfortunately, we didn't have one! There are very few nurses here that are friendly or even care. Hope you don't have to stay overnight because the night shift nurses are the worst. They will ignore your calls for help. They don't bring you water when you're dying of thirst and they will let you lay in your own excrement all night long. Terrible hospital!

Stomach issues, headache, passing out, nausea, burping, gassy. Doctors and nurses do not listen to your symptoms. Then they try to release you with no answers repeatedly. Had to strongly advocate the entire 3.5 days. Eventually they diagnose with low blood pressure from sleep meds, UTI, kidney stone and disease, and the big one they found, the last night was SEpSIS. Thank God we didn't allow them to dismiss the medical issues/symptoms. Will Never go back to that place!!!

The absolute most evil care my poor wife and I had to experience. They tried to keep her hospitalized for at least a week, because she was having psychotic episodes. Those episodes were due to a negative mix of Prednisone with her Anxiety medications. They tried to keep her hospitalized with no sedation for 72 hours. I had my wife released without consent, and took her to Ann Arbor. At the psych ER they established that the medication mix was toxic. Our doctor gave her a shot of Olanzapine and sent us home with a Prescription. We went home 2 hours later. As an update, my wife is so much better. We are currently talking with an attorney. Garden City Psych doctors are psychotic.

Absolutely a horrific experience! If you have an elderly family member whom you love and/ or take care of, DO NOT take them get admitted and stay here! It was like something out of a horror movie. Didnt give correct meds, didnt give very important daily meds, he was super drugged up where he was incapacitated and then put in restraints for days, he was moved 4 times, he was not fed (and worse than that, food was left in his room 4 feet from his restrained weak confused drugged frail body, so he could smell it but thats it. He was left uncovered in his bed, (his half naked exposed male body parts were left wide open to anyone walking by), he was not given a call button, no physical therapy or OT for the entire stay. Towards the end of his stay, they tried to rush to get him unnecessary spinal surgery!!! ( its a teaching hospital, so what better way to get in some practice for a resident). I was told about the plan for surgery on friday night, for surgery monday 8am. So that i couldn't do anything to stop it over the weekend. They purposely waited to inform me. The whole time nurses wouldnt tell me anything, even tho im on all his paperwork for HIPPA! They said i had to be his POA to get ANY info! He was unclean, very dehydrated, alone and had no voice or strength to speak up. He was too drugged! He couldnt even drink water through a straw. Im soooo angry at how my 80 yr old dad was treated. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!!!! 5 out of his 7 day stay was like this. His mental state diminished to near comatose. They lost some of his property. His bed had dried pee on it because nobody checked on him or cared. He never received some of his property that i dropped off to him. It took 3 days to get him discharged, so i could get him to another hospital. Rude staff (aside from the last nurse, on the last day, who helped me get him in my van to leave), doctors who dont call back. It was just soo unbelievably horrible. When he was finally released, he was SOOOOO much worse because of being there.

I'm so grateful to the men and women of this hospital. I was visiting from California and brought my brother to the ER on recommendation from his doctor. From the E.R., to his room on the first floor,1 MED SURG, these wonderful, kind, professional people took such good care of my brother. I knew he was in the best of hands. A special thank you to: Tess, Laura, Kayla, Terri and a female doctor (beautiful Indian lady), who's name I don't remember and Kim, the social worker. The doctor and Kim, took my phone number and the doctor called me with the latest information. That was a first in my life. This is what the medical field should look like! You helped me, on my mission, to help my brother. Your care and compassion gave me hope for the world and I'll never forget you. If you're ever in northern California, please stop by for a cup of coffee. All blessings to you special people. Thank you, Debbie

I am a lawyer, the first time I called the garden city clinic , I asked for a doctor I wanted records from years back and they told me she doesn't work there and I asked them can you please give me her name because I forgot it and they told me her name and last name then the receptionist said I asked them what's her last name and they said sorry you have to speak to my manager and her manager hung up the phone right in my face after telling me we can't give you her last name the disrespectful part was just hanging up in my face and his name was dash hung up in my face and they said he doesn't have a last name? I said what? The doctors name is T Ramish And I couldent speak to him so I can't say nothing but do to my patience going there they've been having no help so on the scale one through five, I would give this place a 1 1/2 could've told me we do not know her name, but they didn't know her name because the first person that answered, told me her name first and last, but when I talk to her manager he goes by dash and the dr that works there is he said she doesn't work here no more and hung up in my face. I am a lawyer I've been doing this for many years I never found any place so rude as the garden city clinic. It's located 2020 Middlebelt Rd.

gchospital kidnapped and tortured me They saw I had good insurance and kept me there telling me I can't leave after poking a prodding me trying to find something that wasn't there. They humiliated me and laughed behind my back. Made me sit in my own piss and shit for 5 days without offering me sponge bath. Finally an orderly told me I could have left days ago and she got me out of there. They are literal monsters and they're going the fuck down. Every lawyer and police officer I've spoken to said that hospital is terrible and they believe I was held against my will and tortured. Even in the ambulance I couldn't move or talk and they took turns laughing digging their elbows and knees into my sternum as hard as they could. Every test they threw at me I over preformed but they kept telling me I couldn't leave. Thank God for that last orderly who couldn't believe what kind of shape I was in and told me nobody is gonna hurt or poke me anymore. She got a paper to sign and snuck me out back. I would be dead if it wasn't for her.

They saved my life! Went to the ER with mild difficulty in breathing. Shortly after blood was drawn, my results were communicated to the doctors and nurses. I was in the cardiac cath lab within 19 minutes for emergency stents placed. From the ER to discharge was stellar care.

It’s not bad but not as good as it used to be, the sanitation doesn’t seem good, their understaff and the wait is too long.

If you have an emergency, avoid this place. You have a better chance of death in the waiting room rather than seeing someone to treat you. I swear imma miss my 4 year olds high school graduation at this rate. Should be ashamed of the ads about "actually getting treatment"

This is the worst hospital experience I have ever had. I was transferred here from urgent care with a severe ear infection so bad that it has spread to my jaw and the bone behind my ear, I'm in extreme pain and have lost all hearing in my ear. It is a fight to get my pain meds even though the doctor specifically ordered them every 4 hours. The staff is extremely rude. Their rooms are uncomfortable. Everything feels like an inconvenience to staff. I called to order food at 11:30, had to leave a voicemail and I asked if they could call me back so I could order off the menu. They never called served me cold food at 1:15 pm and it wasn't even anything I could eat. I'm only on day one of being here and I'm here atleast until Monday. I am dreading the next few days.

Under protest from my wife it was my idea to take my wife to this place because she was in severe pain and with her past medication record you would think that after registration and her screaming and crying in pain that there would be some sense of urgency with the admitting staff but no ....You get told to move your car and you get rolled over into a setting area....minutes that seem to be hours roll by and these clowns are still going through her ID ..while she is now at this point crying ....I ended up taking her to saint Mary hospital and instantly the staff rushed her to a room and thank God they found a major issue that would of doing major damage to her ...if you are in a position to where you are in serious major serious pain that you have never felt before ...or you think the pain is so bad that you could be dying DO NOT GO to garden city Hospital I repeat DO not go to garden city hospital!!

If I can give 0 stars I would. I usually get good service here, this time, my wife went to the Emergency Room and waited 3 hours, staff was extremely rude and inconsiderate, after around 2 hours of waiting, a patient walks in, Had the nurse meet them at the front and took them right in. This type of favoritism is not acceptable, especially when someone is experiencing excruciating pain. My family will no longer go to this hospital.

I’ve been to GC Hospital many times over the years & have never had a reason to complain until now. These are just a few of the reasons. The front desk and intake experience was great. The staff working in the ER were a completely different story. Rude, condescending and didn’t seem to have any interest in anything besides gossiping about patients. Doctors included. No exam was done, no questions were asked and when I tried to explain the situation I was cut off by the Dr. nonstop. I have a serious injury that requires I meet with a surgeon. It’s in my medical records that the dr refused to look at. She then proceeds to tell me that I was probably already healed. I’m disgusted that there are people like this we have to trust our health and lives with.
