We stayed in Sundance 7 on July 23-24. This is a 3 bedroom, two story condo right on Lake Michigan. It is well furnished and has a nice balcony. View is gorgeous. However, we paid a LOT of money for this rental. When we checked in we were told that the refrigerator was not working and was being replaced during the next week, but that two mini frig units had been put in. This is not really OK. We were 6 people including two children. That was not enough room and no freezer. In the morning we discovered the coffee maker had the wrong pot with it which rendered it basically non functional. My daughter went and objected to the refrigerator situation and we were given a small credit. THEN on the second of the only two mornings we were there, at 8:30 in the morning, 4 men arrived stating they were there to install the new refrigerator. We should have refused them entry. Checkout was at 11:00 and we were still in our pajamas. But they came barging in and started banging on things, took the front door off the hinges, in and out. I made my displeasure clear. Finally, when they had the old refrigerator pulled all apart and were talking about turning off the water to the unit (!!), someone obviously told them to get out. They put the door back on and left without a word with the job half done. When I checked out I reviewed this whole scenario with the front desk person. She typed something into the computer and told me it had been noted in my record. No apology. No offer of any compensation for this major annoyance and inconvenience in our very expensive rental. So, bottom line, the property is simply gorgeous. We enjoyed the beach, the pools and the Cafe Manitou. But it is not a five star resort if there are major missteps such as this, and not so much of a word of apology or explanation either at checkout or thereafter.

We Loved The Homestead. It is a Wonderful Place to Stay. The Staff and area are beautiful. And the Bar by the Beach is a great place to hang out. We did not go to Nonna’s or that area but people there looked like they were totally enjoying that area. And there is the Sound of Laughter at night coming from many of the condo screened porches. The Reason I gave it a 4 is that while beautiful and very well situated it is on the higher priced side. I just think people should be aware that does carry a bit of a price tag.

Great family resort, close to some of the most beautiful spots in Michigan. 10 mins away from beautiful Glen Arbor, Crystal River, the sleeping bear sand dunes, pyramid point, fish-town Leland, and Mi wineries. The Resort property is just gorgeous within the woods and on Lake Michigan, and stunning views. My family visited in late July and the weather was just perfect to enjoy the two beautiful pools and beach. Kids want to return next year!

Great service, friendly, quaint, charming, a very pleasant surprise in todays world. Room was comfortable, clean. Babbling brook outside our door. Fiddler’s pond has tall trees, green and lush. Great place. Wish we could have stayed longer than the 2 nights we had. Relaxing, calming. Comfortable. Beach is beautiful but quiet. Lake Michigan is beautiful ❤️ this area is family friendly. We didn’t bring kids, and don’t usually like to be around them, but, everyone was well behaved. We had no trouble.

This is far from a resort. Nothing was open. The one bar had a line to get a drink. We ordered food and left after waiting an hour. Over promoted an under staffed. We arrived an were given a room that was still dirty. Called the desk and they said we will call you back. An hour later we got a new, clean room. This place needs a bunch of TLC. Was doing some work in the chair and felt something on my shoulder..... not good. Not a $400.00 a night place or the 20.00 resort fee......

Rented a condominium for a week to getaway and relax. This was a beautiful location with mountains surrounding us. Quiet be on believe peaceful woods setting walked away more relaxed than ever. Believe it or not about 20 miles for so many quaint tows so we hit a different town every day. Restaurants are a bit to pricey in the area for the quality of food you receive. We cooked at the the condo for about half our meals but we’ll worth the stay gas is a little far and few between so be aware…over a our stay was a 10 will be back again for sure

We enjoyed our stay at The Homestead and found the area extremely scenic with beautiful views of lake Michigan and the Sleeping Bears Dunes National Park area. There were shopping and dining options and excellent golf opportunities.

Spring stay at the inn was so peaceful and relaxing. Walks on the beach. Sitting by fireplace chatting. Cherry Republic for dinner and Leelanau coffee roasters for breakfast. Embraced the slower off season pace and loved every minute.

My friend and I came here for a girls' trip and stayed in Ship Watch 07 Simple. [My friend's parents handled the resort fees, so this review sets aside cost.] Overall, the staff were friendly; however, once, an employee seemed a bit *too* friendly. While we were eating at a picnic table outside Cavanaugh's, one employee came up and actually sat down at our table. He asked a ton of questions, including our names, ages, how long we would be in Glen Arbor, where we're from, and where we were staying on the property. We did not share this information, but he kept asking questions. Another employee saw this happening and tried to get him to help out on another work task, but the one sitting at our table kept telling him to go without him. Thankfully, the other employee never left us alone with this guy and we never saw him again, but it made us deeply uncomfortable. Other than that, the only issue we had was with Wi-Fi: our Wi-Fi wouldn't work and the maintenance crew, who came by while we were out, couldn't fix the router during our stay. Still, the front desk let us use the conference rooms in the Welcome Center for as long as we wanted to get work done, so that helped. The resort's best features? Definitely the spa, the sunset views, the golf cart shuttle service, and the variety of (albeit overpriced) food! But would I stay here again? I'm not sure, all things considered, but I did really enjoy the amenities and the homey, romantic bliss vibe.

Bunch old high school buddies got together in the middle of winter. Several non- skiers became skiers thanks to the easy green hills at Homestead. It’s a special part of Michigan that isn’t like the rest of Michigan with an almost alpine feel and amazing view of the “Michigan Ocean” (there were big waves and it looked like an ocean). Highly recommend for family, friend and even business events during any season. Winter was awesome can only imagine how nice of a place this is in the other seasons. Loved the taste of the local water. Very picky about water
