DO NOT bring your car here! I actually brought my car to another mechanic and they contracted Mike from SNK to rebuild the transmission in Dec 2022. It took 2 months to get the car back. There was no communication then. After about 3 1/2 months the transmission went out again. Took the car back and they sent it back to Mike to fix. He has had our car for 6 weeks. After multiple phone calls the first 3 weeks and being told at first they were waiting in parts, and then that they had the parts after 3 weeks, the car is still not fixed 6 weeks later. My husband called Mike directly and he screamed on the phone at my husband just for inquiring about what was going on and when it would be done. Called today and Mike said he shipped the car back to the mechanic that contracted him unfinished because he didn’t like the way my husband talked to him! WTH he was the one screaming at my husband! It’s an older car and I understand it takes a bit to get parts but every time we called we were told that it would be finished this day or that day, if we heard back at all, and it never was! There is no communication at all! And to act like a 2 year old and not finish the job is ridiculous! Maybe if it was done right to begin with none of this would be a problem!!!! Obviously does not honor the warranty! I will make sure everyone knows how unprofessional and unreliable SNK and Mike are!

Avoid this place at all costs. My folks took their Jeep there for a transmission rebuild. Everything seemed fine and dandy at first. A few months later, after a move from Michigan to North Carolina, with my mom, brother and my 10 year old niece in the vehicle, it started to make some noise. They took the Jeep to a local shop. One starter bolt missing, the other finger tight. Torque converter bolts loose, torque converter itself ruined. Two bellhousing bolts fell out. S&K was contacted to address the issue. Said it was not their problem or responsibility. Half-a$$ hacks don’t have a clue what they are doing and certainly don’t care. If I could give negative stars I would.

Mike did a an excellent job fixing the transmission on my 2010 GMC Yukon XL in a timely manner. They also noticed my oil needed to be changed and completed that before I picked the truck up from them.My truck drives and runs great again and the cost of the repair was $2000 less than the quote the local dealership gave me.Services: Oil change

If I could give them zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible experience. I took the transmission off my car and they had it for 3 months. They said they could get to it in one week, so I called and Mike told me he was busy and he'll get to it next week. I called next week, he said the same thing. After months of the same bullsh&t I took my transmission back to get it fixed somewhere else. When I picked it up it had been outside and it was filled with snow. Thanks Mike!! I tell everyone not to even considered SNK Transmission.Service: Transmission repair

Abysmal service, professionalism, and overall experience. The level of incompetence and plain lack communication is by far the worse I’ve ever had in dealing with mechanics.Summary of service and experience:1. My transmission was failing. Needed a transmission re built.2. Transmission problem was identified and parts were ordered3. 2 months later and parts finally arrived and replaced4. Car was delivered to me but transmission wasn’t really fixed. In other words, the problem wasn’t fully diagnosed nor fixed because the mechanic “forgot to check something”5. Upon further investigation, more parts needed to be ordered6. Another 2 months went by. Communication with them was elusive and spotty. It was like pulling teeth to get a straight answer7. Finally new parts arrived. As the new parts were being replaced, the shop ruined my steering wheel clock spring. New clock spring needed to be ordered.8. A few days later, new clock spring arrived and replaced. After 4 months the car was finally delivered to me9. Upon receipt of the car, non of the steering wheel buttons worked. Had to take the car to a Toyota dealership to diagnose. It turned out that the clock spring wasn’t connected properly.10. Now the car seems to be finally good to go, however, I am now experiencing vibrations when accelerating between 35-50mph. After doing some research, my cv axle joints are probably ruined and will need to be replaced…this is most likely because of the transmission job.Over $3500 later and with an eminent problem at hand which will need to be fixed, and the car is still not 100% good.My advice, run as far away from this shop as possible.Service: Transmission repair

I've had Mike rebuild at least 8 transmissions for me and I'm very happy with his work. Plus he drives a dodge so he must be good with transmissions. I'll keep bringing them Mike. Ty

Mike did what he estimated for the price he estimated. The only glitch was getting parts in a timely manner.
