The worst combination in a business- all promises and talk, with dishonesty, awful customer service and NO delivery!!! I heard from word of mouth that this company was bad news, too late.My husband put $3,500 down on a golf cart designed to run on sand to carry disabled family members from the house, over a dune hill and to the beach. (And back). This written agreement was made end of June. Ed assured us it would be ready AND delivered in 2 weeks. We didn't hear from anyone. In 3 and 4 weeks, the end of July, my husband got through to someone who said he knew nothing about it but would have Ed call. He didn't. My husband called back and spoke to Ed, who explained he was having trouble getting the four wheel drive. My husband was calm and just told him to just COMMUNICATE. Just let us know if there is a delay. He said two more weeks tops.There weeks later, middle or third week of August.... nothing. I emailed Ed. I explained about how my dad and sister have not been to the beach this summer. That we chose his company because of the quick manufacturing time. (It's more pricey than other golf cart places). I wrote that I was not sure my dad would be alive next year. I then stated I understood unavoidable delays, but we still haven't heard from him AGAIN, and I needed information so I could make a decision to get a cart somewhere else to get a couple weeks out of this summer with my dad. This man DID NOT RESPOND.My husband called ANOTHER week later and voiced his frustration. Ed then said he would deliver a temporary golf cart we could use in the meantime. Great! Right? WRONG!!!!!I waited with my dad in my home for two hours for them to deliver the cart. Then I called. He said "We dropped it off a while ago." I look in the street...and there is a cart, THAT DOES NOT DRIVE ON SAND. I call Ed back and ask 1- why would you deliver a cart, not notify the customer? Knock on the door or call? Leave the keys sitting there???And 2- Why did you bring me a cart that can't go on sand? When I ordered a cart to go on sand?Ed responded very rudely, angrily "I NEVER knew WHY you needed the cart or HOW you were going to use it!" I replied Ed, we explained over and over about it's use. You were getting special sand tires. You explained to US how to get a permit for use ON THE BEACH. I even have it in writing on our receipt and in my email that I sent you. He raised his voice and denied knowing.Nine weeks. Not one call, email or notification of a delay. No returning of calls or emails. False promises without delivery. Lying to customers. Arguing with and being disrespectful to customers.If anyone reads this, PLEASE do NOT give this company your business!!! You will regret it! I have a family friend, who doesn't want to be named, who bought and stores with Ed and this company. He told me, after I shared my story, that he regrets buying because he is stuck storing his cart in the winter. Every winter, something "breaks" or needs to be repaired or replaced. He is not to be trusted and is rude.I wish I had spoken with this friend beforehand. But maybe I can help someone else. The people who read this.Diane A.Mishawaka, IN15415A dear friend of mine had just lost her husband last fall. She had his golf cart taken to Carts on 12 to see if they would purchase. He gave a ridiculous price so they said no and went to pick up. He told them the batteries were dead and wanted to charge them $800 to replace. They had just been replaced and the batteries so they were new. So, the ones that were in the golf cart were not the ones that it came in with. Crooks!

Did a great job in building a cart specific to my needs. We needed a cart capable of handling very hilly terrain and Ed suggested an AC 42 volt motor. The cart provided far exceeds our expectations, thanks Ed and everyone at Carts on 12.

Trash... The owner is trash, the quality of his work is poor. You'd be better off going to Valpo or into SW Michigan.

This place will sell you messed up golf carts! They sold us a lifted golfcart that was never properly installed so it was endless hassles and they do not stand by their work. Stay away!

I have bought 2 golf carts from Carts on 12 throughout the last few years and had them serviced there regularly. They have always been professional, thorough and timely with all my purchases and service. I highly recommend them.

Owner" said its rare there is a misunderstanding" but there are more one star reviews then there are 5 star reviews here, So maybe it was meant to says its rare there's not a misunderstanding.

Everyone - Please look at the Owner’s response to bad reviews. I find his responses to show a disdain for the customer, insulting instead of addressing the issues, and actually narcissistic. Instead of fixing the problem, I see that he attacks the customer. In my personal opinion, do you really want to do business with such a person?——The Owner’s reply to this review proves the point.I paid Carts on 12 $1,250 for service THAT WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY. My cart still will not go into reverse without jiggling the handle and holding it in a certain place. Yet I still paid $1,250 just to be free of this business. Any additional charges were rejected.And the Owner now has libeled me on the Internet.Again, is this the kind of business that you want to be involved with?My review is being made as a public service to allow people to make their own decision.

I paid a large sum for a repair (not major). It took over a month when I was promised a week. And the repair lasted a week. The owner refused to fix it. I felt bullied and that his demeanor towards customers is nice to get the job then nasty when you ask for the job to be done

We recently bought a cart. Amazing people owner was down to earth wasn't your typical salesman. Didn't push me into something I didn't need or could afford. Had a minor issue with something on the cart and he offered to send someone out asap. Have refferd several people to him

if i could give zero stars i would. they came and got my cart for maintenance, three months later never heard anything, finally went in they did nothing left my cart outside whole time. Do not use this place.
