The store at Mc Candlish and Saginaw closed early due to a power outage. there was a prescription there for pain meds a friend needed one day out of the hospital from a major surgery. Lomg after power was restored and lights on with employees inside they remained closed. My friend had a very long night in pain due to this closure. Was there no other way to handle this??

I've never had any issues with this pharmacy until one of my prescriptions was out of stock. I called the pharmacy to ask what location I could get my prescription filled, and a man told me that they couldn't see what other locations have available. I understand being busy, and I would have waited on hold, but I wasn't even given the option. Instead, I was lied to and told I'd have to call around and see who would fill it because they apparently can't look at that information. I know that they can see other locations inventory, because another Rite Aid pharmacy did it for me. I will be going there from now on. I went days without my medication because of this.

Fantastic pharmacists who know (really know, by name) and care about our family . It is so nice knowing there is someone paying attention to the scripts and looking out for our well being. I also like that the store takes Apple Pay. I can do plenti and pay by only using my phone.

Bob and Dave are the absolute best pharmacists on the planet. They are supported by a tremendous crew of technical experts. They work as a team to solve difficult insurance issues. They will contact your doctors and other medical providers like hospitals, laboratories and and physical therapist in order to deliver outstanding pharmacy services. My entire family has worked with this pharmacy for over 20 years and we have never been disappointed. Did you forget to get your flu shot? Bob or Dave will reminder each year.

This rating is strictly for the pharmacy; not there is anything amiss with the rest of the store, but Dave and Bob, the two primary pharmacists are great to work with. Much more like an old time neighborhood pharmacy than a chain store. They have worked with my family and I through insurance issues, have been proactive in contacting doctors for refills, have had helpful suggestions for alternatives when needed and really seem to do a great job recruiting and training their techs. We are having to switch insurance in the near future that's to the AHCA, and will no longer be able to use Rite Aid; I will miss this pharmacy!
