Brought my Edge in for an oil change and tire rotation at Ford which I had an appt for. I waited in their comfortable lounge and had a cup of coffee. Not only was it completed in less than an hour, the service technician was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of my time and any concerns. I love their 3 oil change packet that contains all the checks and more.

I had a bit of a rough go at first, but Preferred worked with me until they made it right. I originally bought a used car off the lot and the check engine light came on a few days later. For the next 3 months, preferred kept me in a loaner vehicle while they tried and tried and tried to fix the vehicle I purchased from them. In the end, they bought it back from me, and sold me a different car which I love even more than the first one.

I had an issue with a portion of my navigation system not responding. Preferred Ford reset the system and updated it. After the reset the issue could not be reproduced and appears to be working properly. The Service Advisor/Tech explained what he had done and how he did it. I was pleased with the result and the communication That I had with him. I'm very pleased with how my vehicle was repaired and will recommend Preferred Ford to my family and friends.

I saw a vehicle on the website and called to make an appointment. I had an appointment for 11:45-12, I drove 2 hours to test drive the vehicle. When I arrived I was told it was out on a test drive. I asked to have a seat and wait. I was offered water and a snack or “taco Bell “ that apparently was provided to the salesman that day. I politely declined. I sat for at least a half hour. No one asked if there was another vehicle I might want to look at since the vehicle I drove 2 hours for was now out on a test drive. During the time I was waiting I looked up other vehicles on the website. I found a Suburban that was priced much higher than the vehicle I planned to look at but still in a fair price range. I had to look for a sales representative to ask if that vehicle was available. I was then told it was at a different lot but they would have it brought to me.Another half hour at least of sitting waiting, I hear “they didn’t put gas in it” so another sales representative went to put gas in the vehicle. Finally after at least an hour I was referred to a salesman (not the o e I spoke with on the phone, he was with another customer). I drove it and ended up getting it however I was very disappointed that no one offered to show me anything else or even ask me what I was looking for.Customer service/sales experience could be brushed up a bit.

So I bought a 2015 F150 from here. Firstly the sales team and parts department score 4-5 stars. No issues there. Like every vehicle I get, once I get them home I go though them top to bottom. Being a dealer, I didn’t figure I would find much to correct. Unfortunately that was not the case. I found an open recall for the brake booster, no fluid in the transfer case, emergency brake didn’t work at all. They said they performed an oil change and alignment, but there was no evidence of that. I called to talk to the service manager about what I found. She stated that at the time they where short staffed and sourced it out to their Chevy dealer. I understand the situation as mechanics are hard to find, but my issue is that there was no offer to bring the vehicle back and help with any of this.

We were traveling from out of state and our car broke down on a Sunday and had travel plans for the rest of the week. On Monday, morning I stopped in to Preferred Ford and talked to Wendy and explained our Delima. I could not have asked for a better person to help us with our situation. Wendy was so helpful getting our car in quickly and getting a fast diagnosis of the problem and making recommendations who to reach out to for Enterprise rent a car so that we could finish out our trip while they were working on our car. Wendy updated us via email and texting and kept us in the loop as they repaired our vehicle. Our car was ready repaired and tested by the time we were back from our trip. We felt that we were in the best of hands working with Wendy. She was so courteous and kind and seems to love her job. Preferred Ford should be proud to have her as their customer contact. We would give Wendy and Preferred Ford a 10 Plus rating here but limited to 5 stars. You can feel at ease and will receive the best treatment at this dealership. Thank You Wendy for ALL of your hard work and dedication to helping your customers !!!!

My daughter bought a car from there recently. 5 minutes after she drive off the engine light came on, and started smelling so burning. she instantly called them, they told her they would "get back with her". Finally couple days later they called her back to look at it a week later. They basically said too bad. I am positive they knew of the problem, they are "big" snakes! .

Buyer beware! I have leased two prior trucks with this dealership and was very happy. For my third lease, it was a totally different story. They gave me my lease price in writing, signed by a manager, and I was all set to lease the truck. Hours before I was to drive down and complete the deal, they changed all the numbers on me and raised my payment by 55% claiming there was a computer glitch! I did not lease the truck. Apologies were expressed by the dealership but no attempt was made to make it right. That’s how they treat established customers I guess. Very disappointed and would no longer recommend them to anyone.

The new mobile service unit came to my house to perform a recall on my Fusion. The technician was actually a few minutes early much to my surprise. He was very professional, courteous and he got the job done all while I waited in the comfort of my own home. I would say that they knocked this one out of the park !!

If I could give zero stars I would. My vehicle went into this shop for a timing chain problem. Three weeks later the vehicle miraculously somehow someway needed an entirely new engine. Then the engine supposedly arrived and it was a 3 day job to swap the engines which turned into another three weeks of waiting. During this duration of time I called at least four times a week looking to have any information possible, never getting a response nor an answer not even a call back. There were two service managers that I do have to give some credit too, one was there for three weeks and quit because this shop is such a $hit show, the other was the one I dealt with to pay for the expenses. The last service manager I hope she does well, she’s in for a tough job. Now finally the service manager that was there for the majority of the time is actually the service manager next door at Preffered Chevy, wow I found dirt stains that I like better. An absolute waste of space and air, I would rather deal with all of the monkeys at ford than ever deal with that guy again. So if possible go anywhere other than this shop for service if you want to be treated with honesty and respect.

Worst service department I've ever did business with in my life. Unless you have a endless amount of money do nor take it here. They guess at the problems instead of going by the trouble codes. Which can cost you a lot of money. They definitely need more experience techs on powerstroke diesels in the garage. Won't be visiting this place anytime soon.

After two visits to have my Maverick hybrid “inspected” so that the air bag parts could be ordered … and a number of phone calls … I made the appointment to have the bags installed. On both visits and each phone call, I was assured that the work would take 2 hours. During this time I received an additional recall notice. I called and requested that the new recall be addressed as well. I was told that it “might” take an additional hour to get both recalls repaired. My scheduled appointment was last Friday. After 4 1/2 hours walking around the dealership and sitting in the lounge, I was told that the car was torn apart and it would not be ready til Monday. I was also told that there were no loaners or courtesy cars available. I live 45 minutes away. I had to call my wife to drive down to pick me up. I was completely misled beginning with 2 inspections and ending with repair time.I picked up the car on Monday and drove it home. About an hour later, I needed to run an errand. I started the car, which is ALWAYS silent when it starts. It made very loud whirring noises. My wife and I lifted the hood and realized that a fan or something was making the noises. I took the car to a different Ford dealership the next morning and was told the AC compressor was making the noise. When I left Preferred Ford in Grand Haven, I was told the car was in perfect shape. It has less that 8000 miles on it.I do not foresee my return to Preferred Ford. I am very unhappy with all the misleading information I had been given … from start to finish. The only positive part of the whole experience was the customer rep, Wendy, who was assisting me on Friday. She has experience and it shows. Frankly, she should probably be the service manager. The gentleman who sits in that seat, does just that. I am certain he is a nice guy, he did occasionally come out of his office to chat/laugh with one of the reps and then go back into his office.
