Passed through town and decided to get some breakfast. This was a super cool looking restaurant. We were greeted by the owner and had some good conversations. Everything my friend and I got was delicious and we were offered coffee and Apple fritters for the road on the house

Staff was very friendly and service was great. Ate here last week and came towards the end of breakfast. The breakfast pasties were great and loved them with the sausage gravy. Finnish pancakes were a fun and sweet side. Loved the coffee! There is a gift shop upstairs with all sorts of fun Michigan items/gifts. Definitely recommend a stop if you will be in the area!

I have eaten here approximately three times in the last 5 years. The first time under different ownership. The food was great. Very good selection zero complaints.Currently having eaten there last summer and this fall the food is meh... The food menu is extremely limited not really diner fare. I'm not sure why they don't have at least simple to make scrambled eggs, bacon and toast like the previous owner did. The decor is well executed and the gift shop has great selection but we were not there to shop.

Love this place in every way. Service and food are always top notch. We bought a new game to play. Can't wait to try it. They play board games every Sunday. Hope to get to do an extended camping weekend and play with them!

Archie's West Bay Diner is a hip little diner that has a great, positive environment, and makes you feel good as soon as you enter. The service was quick and thorough without feeling rushed. Our waitress talked with us for a bit to tell us the history of the diner and its current status. Our breakfast seemed to take no time at all as this place has a small gift shop located upstairs with a gracious amount of items on the upper and main level. Breakfast was AMAZING! I had the breakfast pasty and my mother ordered the french toast. The bread and the pasty crust both tasted homemade. After that first bite, you wanted to clean your plate. I highly recommend going, even if it was 30 minutes out of our way for breakfast. It was worth every bite!Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is spunky and offers things for the kids to look at. The staff would be fantastic with them.Parking: Standard parking in the front. Handicap accessible parking in the back. When you pull into the front parking lot and walk up the stairs, go around the left side of the building. The entrance is in the back.Wheelchair accessibility: When you pull up to the front of the diner there is no wheelchair access. There is parking behind the diner with a ramp leading into the back of the building where the actual entrance is.

There is a reason this place has such great reviews, it is really good. The food was solid. Not the best I've had, but right up there at the top. The atmosphere is great. The menu size is perfect. Not too much but if you are gluten free they will have stuff for you.The service was just ok, but the place was busy and in the UP, things move a bit slower.Special thanks go to Jen (owner) for keeping such a great diner in a small town.My wife and I would certainly come back.

Rolled in soaked and muddy while biking across the country. The (new) owner, Jen, invited me to wait the rain out, then set me up with some friendly locals for the night! So I guess this is the place to go for tasty goulash—or to have all your problems solved.A classic diner full of old-school charm.

Cute place. Great ice cream and homemade muffins and meals. Often busy. Have been going here since it was at the other location.

Waited 40-50 minutes for a table of 5 to get our food even though the building was practically empty. We asked for a discount because we waited so long and all the staff that interacted with us changed quickly in their demeanor and started being rude. Finally got our food and just put the food down aggressively. Ordered a Belgian waffle and it was burnt with barely any powdered sugar ($10), breakfast sandwhich that looked like it came right out of a box from the store ($9), eggs and toast, literally 1 egg scrambled with 2 pieces of lightly buttered toast ($9). Food was mediocre for how much you pay and service is quick to change. Would not recommend going here. There’s a bar down the street that gets you your moneys worth
