I dropped off my WORKING snowblower for new paddles and scraper. They called back two weeks later to tell me that the engine wasn't working. I told them that the snowblower was working fine in spring when I ran the gas out of it and asked why they would even touch the engine when I had asked for paddles and scraper. Now the snowblower leaks gas and won't start. They refused to refund my $40.00 deposit and are extremely unprofessional and rude. Avoid this business and find another ACE Hardware. Worst experience ever. Zero stars!

They are no longer helpful or friendly. They are rude and lazy. I asked simple questions and it's like talking to lazy children. Everything is
You have to, before it was let me help you with that or I can help you.
I used to go here to support local business, I would be better off at Walmart.
This type of attitude is why these older stores are going out of business

Terrible customer service! I just moved to the area and I’m buying a whole bunch of new lawn equipment. I called to ask a couple questions about a Weedwhacker. The salesman was very short yesterday did not want to answer. My questions. Couldn’t tell me if they had anything in store And then hung up on me. To the big box store I go to get adequate service not the product that I want, but I’ll take service over a product.

I love coming here as a dad and as a DIY person, and the staff there 90% of the time treat me with respect but sometimes they hire people that treat customers differently, I was asking a question to one of the women there whom was very dismissive with me and made it very clear she didn't want to help me, she proceeded to give me dirty looks when I still looked through the store as if though I didn't believe her. Besides that the hardware store has saved me numerous times fixing my own issues rather than hiring someone.

Went to Ace trying to buy some lawn equipment. Cashier was extremely rude and showed no interest in helping with our purchase. If you are in the Grand Rapids area I would recommend choosing a different Ace Hardware who appreciates your business. We will not return to this location.

Very poor customer service from Barb the cashier....I walked in say good morning she didn't answer and then she refused to put in my rewards when I am checking out
