I had an unpleasant interaction with the cashier Jason today (Sunday 8/4/2024 @ 10:20am) he was extremely rude to me and it seemed racially driven, as the customers prior to me and after me he was pleasant to in which they looked similar to him. When it was time to pay he told me my total three times while I had my debit card in my hand. I heard him give me the total ALL three times. He proceeded to look at me in an irritated manner as I was not using the card reader. The only reason I didn’t use the card reader was because I couldn’t! It was waiting for him to complete his portion of the check out process and he failed to click a button.
I tried to tell him that he needed to finish something because nothing is coming up on the card reader. Instead of him looking to see what I was talking about to correct it, he told me he was getting a supervisor as if it was a problem. He was very rude and irritated during this entire process.
I told him I did not need a supervisor just for him to complete what he needed to on his end and he finally looked at the card reader and noticed the problem was him and not me.
I told him he was looking at me like I was an idiot and I was waiting for him to finish his portion. He then proceeds to tell me he’s just working this job while he finishes college like that was suppose to make it all okay.
That interaction was extremely distasteful and I didn’t understand what the rudeness was for.

This Aldi is quite a bit bigger than the one by our house. It has a lot more items. We love all Aldi stores, but this one is one of the better ones.
We still drive to this ALDI every week. It's the best one on 28th St.

Aldi is a great store that has a Little bit of everything. They have a great meat department with an excellent selection of organic and regular fresh meats. Their produce selection is excellent They care about the environment, so bring your own bags and a quarter for the cart.

Worst customer service, Sidney a store manager tried to deny me my bottle deposit, claiming I picked through their dumpster for the returnables . Do all returnables out of a dumpster smell like bleach and dawn soap? Mine did, they gave me a 15$ Alidi gift card for the problems I encountered.

Aldi rocks, everywhere. Some items just aren't carried. I've learned to shop differently to get by mostly with just Aldi. Total bill on a full buggy is about one third less than the big names. I've never had an item from Aldi I that I think is poor quality.
