Claire at Bob’s on 28th is super awesome! We had a long/narrow space that we had to work with but still wanted sectional that we could spread out and relax on especially for like snuggling up for movies or binge-watching TV shows. But we also didn’t want something super high end because we have a cat that we’re still working on not scratching furniture. She really listened to all our likes/dislikes of the couches we looked at and considered what we needed and helped us find the perfect sectional and layout. Plus she has a great personality and we enjoyed just chatting it up with her.

Ian was a great guy! He knew when to give us space to look, he knew when to help us decide, he was friendly and he gave me some helpful information. Although I didn't end up getting anything since I was looking for same day pick up, I still enjoyed the customer service here. I would still recommend looking around here!

Ian was great. We didn't end up buying anything from here but Ian was super nice and not pushy and let us do our thing, and didn't take it personally when we chose not to go with them at this time. He even gave recommendations on other places to check out if we wanted to go home with a couch that day (they didn't have anything either tho). I will let you know that you can't leave with furniture, they have to order it from their warehouse in Chicago so it will take up to a week to get here.

Deborah helped us pick out a new mattress, adjustable frame and other furniture for our bedroom. She was very helpful and not pushy like other furniture stores. Delivery was smooth and we are enjoying our new furniture very much. It was a night and day experience compared to what we have dealt with in the past at other stores.

We had such a good experience and really had no clue what to expect, especially with the name “discount” in the name. The quality of our large modular sectional is great and does not seem like it came from a discount furniture store. Our sale’s associate Deborah at the 28th Street Grand Rapids location went above and beyond to help us get the perfect piece for our home and took the time to customize it to our needs.We did reach a bump when a piece of the modular couch arrived with a stain and within the hour after brief, pleasant discussions with their help line I had submitted photos and scheduled a redelivery and pick up.The manager Melissa also helped us when we needed additional help.Even when things don’t go perfectly, we very quickly were presented with solutions to make sure we were 100% satisfied, which I did not expect from a discount furniture store. We will definitely consider Bob’s Furniture in the future for other furniture needs.Thank you Deborah and Melissa at the 28th Street Grand Rapids location!

Got a 2 piece sectional for a great price recently from bobs. More of a blue grey in person. Pick up process was pretty bad lol. Be prepared to wait 6 or so weeks if you order any furniture online. There is a hook to interlock the two pieces of the sectional, and due to manufacturing error, the backs of the two pieces do not line up flush. One sticks out an inch or so further than the other. Not ideal, but it is 'discount furniture'. It is a pretty piece of furniture. We are content but probably won't go with bobs again

We purchased a leather sectional and matching recliner, which was delivered the Friday before thanksgiving. Delivery was very quick - within a week, and we are 45 miles from the store. The delivery crew was great. The store, on the other hand, not so much. Sales people are kind of aggressive - they're waiting for you at the door, and will follow you around. If this is your thing, cool. I wanted to walk out, and I should have. The sales guy, Darin, began his pitch about their extended warranty program, and we stopped him and made it perfectly clear we were in no way interested in buying the warranty - we had quite a lengthy conversation about it. Once we decided on the set we wanted, we spent another several minutes explaining exactly what we wanted, and what we didn't want. He went away, came back with our price, which we thought was too high for what we were ordering, but he told us the prices for all of the pieces and it seemed ok. Then the manager came over and went over what we were buying - she showed us the order on the computer, but nothing was written out, it was just a jumble of item numbers and codes. Ok. Then we went to the payment counter (we paid cash), and that guy went over our order the same as the sales guy, and the manager. When they handed us the final invoice, it was again, just all item numbers and codes with pricing, and since neither of us had reading glasses with us, we assumed everything was as it should be. We left anticipating our delivery in just a few days and that was that. It was only when the delivery crew showed up and put everything together that I realized there were too many pieces. The sales guy clearly didn't listen to what we told him - even though I was very specific, and made him acknowledge what we were asking for. So, I hauled out our invoice and not only did they add an additional piece at $900, but they also charged us $500 for the extended warranty, and $350 for delivery. Not one of those three people that went over our order with us mentioned the warranty or the delivery fee. After everything we told the guy, he still added the warranty!! All of that aside, in less than a week of having our furniture, the leather on the arm of the recliners has totally come un-sewn, and the leather is just falling apart. After spending a large part of my day on Black Friday trying to get ahold of someone in customer service - I never did. So. Just be careful if you go to Bobs. Make sure you know exactly what you're getting, and avoid Darin.

I've always suggested others to go there, but today, I finally went for myself. Not only did I receive excellent customer service, without the pressure of buying; I received reassurance. I was able to get what I needed for a great price, which included white glove delivery/set-up for a great price. My early Christmas present to myself ?

Amazing customer service! Make sure and ask for Deborah! Walked us around, was very patient with us, even while watching other customers walk by and not knowing if we would buy. I would not go anywhere else as long as they have a furniture option I like in the future! Thanks so much Deborah! You deserve a nice bonus or raise! We will definitely be back to furnish our offices and new home!

The couch my husband and I ordered was just delivered today. I want to say that our experience has been smooth and easy from start to finish.We were not harassed as we went about the store which is a HUGE bonus, but what is even better is that our sales rep, Dan LaVoie, was amazing. From a tasteful suggestion, witty conversation, and a straightforward transaction, Dan helped make the entire experience easily one of the best I've had when furniture shopping.Now our couch is here (on the promised day!) and we're happy as can be. Definitely will be recommending them for future business :)

The sales associate greeted me with genuine kindness and excitement but then left me alone for a bit. When he came back, I had a couple questions and he found me EXACTLY what I was looking for within seconds! Like seriously my kitchen is about to look SO FLY! Also I like their delivery options. You can be boujee and get delivery with set up for a decent price, or look forward to a night of wine and setting up furniture with your roommate like I did :)

Our installation crew were quick and efficient. They had great timing and communication when they would arrive! Our new bed is amazing and we enjoy better sleep already on the first night!

While couch shopping we stopped into Bob's furniture on 28th street. We were pleasantly greeting by Ian who did an outstanding job helping us make the purchase. Janet was amazing from the minute I walked into the store to the moment I walked out. She listened to what I was looking for and why I needed it. She took the time to look items up and if she didn’t know the answer to one of my questions she wasn’t afraid to ask another salesperson. She was helpful and friendly. I found the piece I needed and the sales process was seamless. I have purchased from Bob’s before and the furniture it very durable and beautiful. The pieces I have purchased years ago are still in great shape. I look forward to my new piece

Had a great experience with Janet buying a new couch. So was friendly and funny and gave us lots of space to browse and then answered every question we threw at her. Would definitely recommend Bobs to others for great price and service, and Janet plus her manager Kristin were amazing
