The story is way too long to share but horrible service from the terrible employee at the counter. Didn’t have the car I reserved, then ended up giving me a very old Ford Fusion with 80000 miles on it and it smelled so bad and had so many stains everywhere. Not to mention all the blood on the headliner. Just embarrassing that I paid over $600 for a car that should be impounded

I ended up needing to pick up the vehicle early and the agent easily pulled up my reservation and made that happen. I left thinking how stress free and easy that was. However, there was no explanation of rate changes, drop off changes or signing of a rental agreement. I was told they would send me an e-receipt. Not until I received the e-receipt did I realize they charged me for an additional day for the earlier pick up time.

Car was fine. Needed maintenance, 40k miles, no windshield wiper fluid, tires won’t make the winter but it got me from place to place when I needed it to. BUT unfortunately, I left my BEATS earbuds in the car. I notified Budget within hours. As an Apple product they were trackable. I provided confirmation my earbuds were at the airport, my reservation number, and the specific car number. Still, I never heard a thing from Budget. A few days later they were no longer trackable on my phone. If integrity matters to you, this is not the Co to rent from. I’ll never choose Budget again.

Worst experience with this location. The reason I rent from the airport location is that I thought they have higher standards. At the counter , we can not see the vehicle until after we sign for and begin our rental. I asked about car selection at the time of rental 11 pm. Was told by the counter person no other was available in class. Was not offered upgrade for additional charge. Hard to believe but it was a holiday weekend. They do not do walkthrough of vehicles. Noticed (and took pictures) gas gauge was not full, body had scratches, dings, and the front left bumper was ajar. Also, my passengers noticed dog hair in backseat ceiling and once car got hot, it smelled like urine. This was embarrassing and a health risk because one guest riding with us has allergies. I did need to extend the rental for 1 day and returned it at 730pm- 3 1/2 hours earlier than the 11pm deadline. We traveled a total of 1435 miles. I did a walkthrough with attendant upon returning. She had me take a picture of return information which included a time stamp of 7:27, and told me to ask for a manager with my complaints. At the counter I was told no manager was available. It was the same counter person who I received the car from. I told her my complaints and she said the manager would reach out to address these issues. No one has reached out. Then to add insult to injury, I’ve gotten charged for gas and bringing the rental back later than my return window! This is unacceptable. The only thing I am grateful for is the vehicle did get my passengers and I safely to our destination and back.

Smooth drop off and pick up and no problems. However my previous two Budget rentals involved a fuel surcharge I declined after returning my car with a full tank. I’m still cautious renting from Budget.

If I could leave QUAD 0's I would! Extremely UNETHICAL company! THIEVES!!! My husband was going to be the driver and we wanted to use my credit card. NOWHERE on their site does it say the driver and credit card must match! They refused to rent to us, and then turned around and charged us a "cancellation" fee. RUDE and NASTY staff! >:( >:(

I was the last person to rent a car that day, and all they had were two huge full-size pick up trucks. I am too short (5’0”) to drive those comfortably, but I had no choice. The guy working that night was wonderful, but the truck sucked (for me).

This was without a doubt the worst experience. If Budget was the last rental car company available I'd walk or hitchhike. I arrived to pick up the car I prepaid for and was informed I would have to pay a 250$ deposit. I looked back over my reservation and saw it was in fact in the "small print" but not made obvious. I was on a limited budget and informed the desk agent who was helping me I did not have 250$. She shrugged and told me everyone had to pay one and that people brought back their cars damaged so they needed the deposit. Is that not why I have insurance? I told her I would need a minute to figure it out, and she goes okay well I want something to eat I'm going to Wendy's and left. When I managed to figure it out, I was assisted by another man, who told me there was nothing he could do. I was able to borrow from a relative, and he asked if it was going to be more than a few minutes as he needed to help other people. I didn't realize being helped by a customer service agent was such an inconvenience. Then he asked me for 3 cards, my DL and my return flight information "for security." You're renting a car to me and I already paid! Why do you need "security" ? It was a long flight to the airport and the agents were extremely rude and made me feel as if I was being a burden. As if that weren't enough, they gave me a different car than the one I booked. I booked a compact for a specific reason, I did not want a mid size. Then, I had the car barely a day when I had to bring it back as there was an issue with one of the tires. Thankfully someone who was with me noticed or it would have blown. I could have been seriously injured if the tire had blown while driving! This was also extra time out of my trip that I had to go back to the airport and make the exchange. Stay far far away!

Budget Grand Rapids - airport location was absolutely wonderful! Be sure to put your flight information on your car reservation. My flight was delayed and didn't arrive until 1 1/2 hours after their closing time, but they stayed and waiting for my arrival so that I could still get my car. This was at 1:30am. I was so relieved to have a car available at that hour! They are extremely customer service oriented! I couldn't have been happier with the service I received.

This was a great experience from Budget Rental. After picking up the vehicle there was an issue with the tire and had to replace it. When I returned the vehicle, explained to the gentleman at the counter what happened, he kindly reimbursed me for the expense, thanked me for taking care of the tire and provided discount coupon for future rentals. Based on this experience I will always choose budget for my car rentals in the future.

Enterprise left me without transportation after I contacted them informing them all of my flights on Southwest Airlines were delayed. I contacted customer service and with an associate at Grand Rapids airport and was told there would be someone waiting for me. When I arrived there was no one except Budget associates. It was an incredibly important trip an I needed to get to Lansing. I am sure the Budget associates could see by the expression on my face and the unkind verbal expressions towards Enterprise. At 1:00 am in the morning Budget associates were on the job, stepped up and found a vehicle so I could get to my 13 year old grandsons hospital bed. Late but I was there. However, it was not too late and for that I am very grateful to those associates who stepped up and assisted a stranded traveler. I will tell this story to everyone I know what travels

Rental Agreement: U632493072I should have been billed for $88.63 (I have a signed receipt for this). I was charged $200 plus. Car was dropped on May 29th (Monday between 12 and 3 Pm, Memorial Day). I parked my car and two girls didn't take any reading in front of me, may be they missed. Check your car tag or video footage you will see. Again car was returned within 12 to 15 hours. I picked the car from enterprise same complex after returning your car. Budget online told me that car was returned on May 30th at 12:34 PM, and that's why higher amount.It's such a simple check for Budget local folks to do, and I have spent so much time on these follow-up already. GRR Budget folks, please resolve this - I know it's a simple check for you.Not attaching receipt for safety reason. I can provide on email if local representative follows-up

The vehicle we received was damaged and dirty. It was so dirty that we had to clean it prior to driving it. There was a layer of dust on the dashboard and food crumbs on the floors and seats. The vehicle was dinged up front front to back. Holes on the carpet. It looked like your cousins car you borrowed once.

Good experience picking up the car, and easy to drop off as well. Be careful and look at your receipt however. I got overcharged by almost $80 for gas....and I returned the car with a FULL tank. Beware!After calling Budget the next day to try and understand why my bill was so much higher, they said I didn't return with a full tank. I had to provide documentation to prove I had gotten gas right before returning the vehicle, and they DID refund me the difference. Clearly, someone dropped the ball.
