I will never order anything from them again I mess with them I ordered after I ordered I see the address is wrong I call right away to cancel or change address the same day it wasn't shipped yet the lady tell me I can't do either wait to the on trac receive it and change they say they can't do it either now I have nothing

I’d give it ZERO stars if I could! We checked online, to see the pet policy. To our surprise, it said JCPenny was very welcoming of pets, so long as they’re well behaved. It also stated they do pet portraits/photos. But you can’t call ahead to schedule the session. You had to come into the store to do so, so about a week ago we brought our mini Aussie in, to get a comfortable feeling being in the store. She did better than great! She was so comfortable, was obviously on a harness and leash (less than 2ft from my hand to her lead) just long enough where she could walk with me. Today 1/13/2024 apparently the pet policy has changed and dogs who are not service dogs are in fact not allowed into the store. An we were asked to leave, I spoke with the manager Kim, who informed me only service dogs are allowed in store. So I’m left feeling very confused! A week ago we were in store, no problem. Today we were told it wasn’t allowed. So how/why do they offer pet portraits/photos but don’t allow dogs to be there ? They’re going to continue to lose business when I inform everyone I know of their mealymouthed decisions. Sad and disappointing to say the least!

I went to the store at Woodland mall for a return, the manager (the lady that wears a hijab) was very rude and disrespectful. There is a way to address a customer, even if you are not able to deliver a requested service. She acted like she owned the store, stating I can do a return even though my purchase was still the time frame allowed for return or exchange. She ended up doing it but I was disappointed. Never had a negative experience with JC Penny until I had to deal with her. I have seen her ordering around other employees, how do you get promoted to management when you don’t know how to deal with people. She needed a leadership training coz her behavior is wack?

Love the way they have checkout now. Much better for the flow of customers. Store layout was nice and still had a variety of sizes and options even close to Christmas.

Came here to buy a suit and an employee named Kevin was very helpful and kind. He helped me find the right size and gave me helpful tips regarding fit. It was a great experience.

I ordered pants online, they didn't fit so I just wanted to do an exchange. The online customer service told me to take them to my nearest store and they could help me with that. I drove 50 min to my local Grand Rapids mi store at woodland mall. The sales lady was like sure I can help you with that. She does the return and I'm thinking I'm going to go get three pair of the same pants in the size needed, no not the case. After she completes the return, she orders my pants online. I could have done that from home. To top it off I paid $17.99 ea on sale and she charges me $24.99 ea. Which I didn't realize until I got home. What kind of an exchange is that? So my $57 turned into $79, that's another pair of pants at the price I paid. ?

I couldn't find any help when I needed it. Many of the clothes were not in the right area. Such as full priced dresses being on the sales rack. Wrong brand clothes on a brand rack and so on. I couldn't find a register, there was a sign in spanish but I can only read English. I do like that they have petite and tall sizes.

Hello,I have been a long time customer of J.C. pennys. I have always been pleased with and respected the customer service at this location... except for today. I went in around 2pm to returnA purchase I made online that did not fit. The first lady I encountered took my purchase looked them over, no hello, figured she was having a bad day? Didn't ask anything, just saidit looks like these have been worn and you cant return them. I assured her I did not wear these as i could not even zip them up! She just smiled and handedthem back to me I then asked to speak to the manager and the manager assisted me right away and looked them over, she was smiling and shook her head and said no we can't sell these they look like you wore them. Again,I assured her I did not wear these as I could not even zip them up! And I said I would never do that! Wear something and then try to return them and that I already purchased another pair because i have an event this weekendI needed to wear them to.. She and her coworker wereboth looking at each other and smirking. I was thinking, am I missing something? What is happeneing here?and I just said well I honestly do not think I have been treated very nicely,I will not shop here again and the managers response was, that's ok! Goodbye. I couldnt believe it, I know the world is at a different vibe right now , people are going thru alot mentally , the economy,post covid,ect. we just need to be nice. Well these ladies were not nice. Especially working in retail , I know it can be tough working with people (I do that my self)especially during the holidays but geez I would not want these 2 on my team! Ever!They need some serious training on customer care. So goodbye JC pennys I will take my business elsewhere, where I am treated like a human being and appreciated for shopping in a store that I make purchases at frequently. I'll pray for those 2 ladies, Lord knows they need some guidance. God Bless

The associate (who I believe was a manager) at the return register was very rude. He would not give me a full refund on a cash purchase for a damaged product, or let me exchange for the same product. I would understand if it is policy. However, he wouldn't even explain and treated me like I was scamming the store. He didn't make eye contact with me at all when speaking. Poor customer service.
