This review is about their service department specifically the quick lube department. We have been bringing vehicles there for quite some time. My wife recently got a new 2023 SUV. It was her 2nd oil change and I noticed it was leaking oil so we looked into it and after some work figured out it was due to the oil filter being put on a little crooked and also way over tightened. I returned and explained the problem and the manager was pretty dismissive and while going back and forth a little finally offered to send a check in the mail.. Which we agreed was fair as things happen and I had already replaced the filter and essentially changed the oil again but here we are 3 months or so later and no check. I have a feeling they never planned on sending that check so just be weary of the cheap price.

I had my car serviced for a serious problem that was just discovered. Their service advisor, Kyli Verduci, was excellent. She let me know what was going on and kept me up to date on progress. I really appreciated that and I did not have to call about it. She went above and beyond and contacted Ford about my problem and got results! My car was "fixed" and I am very happy. This is a professional dealership that cares and they have people like Kyli there. This is "MY" dealership I go to now.

I had an oil change in September and they said all four tires are at 5/32 and recommended they be replaced before winter. 2 months later I went in for a coolant flush and they said the back tires are 7/32 and the front 6/32 and said they will be good until next summer. I left some feedback about the significant differences in numbers and being advised to replace them before winter and then my second appointment being told they are good until summer. The service manager Teresa immediately contacted me, apologized and made things right with me. She had me come back in and personally showed me the tires and what was needed. She offered to waive the installation because of all the different numbers I was given. She stated the reason for me being told the 5/32 on all four tires is because the oil change techs are not as experienced at checking tread, that part is concerning because I imagine a lot of people buy new tires just because of what the quick lane techs say, when they really could get another 10,000 miles or what not. Teresa right away ordered the digital tire gauges to replace the regular ones to improve accuracy. I believe she was very honest about everything. The actual mechanics are the ones that got it somewhat right with the 7/32 and 6/32. Teresa personally checked the tread depth with me right there and said I could get by for a while with the tires, but it probably would be a good idea to replace them, which I'm going to do. The inner part of the tire was more worn due to probably needing an alignment. My only reason for giving 4 stars is for being told I need tires before winter, then being told my tires are good until summer, and then the final verdict, the correct one, I could get by with them but recommended new ones which I agree with. Mistakes happen. I could tell Teresa really cares about the customers and definitely made things right. The customer service there is extremely good and everybody is kind. They don't try to sell you things you don't need. I was told the tires I want will be in within a week and then a few days later I received an email that they won't be in for a month and a half! These tires are advertised on their website. That was quite a surprise. I didn't plan on getting them installed until the beginning of December anyway but was hoping not to have to wait until the end of December. Quality of work is great except for the tire stuff, I've never had so much trouble getting tires. I'm going to go with my second choice of tires and return to lafontaine. Overall I feel they are very honest, do quality work and definitely care about their customers and make things right. They make sure their customers leave satisfied.

This journey to our new bronco sport had its ups and downs, we started with a ford dealer closer to home, salesmen there did not want to help! I called LaFontaine auto group talked to Pat Kelly, asked if he had the bronco we were looking for, he did but it sold, he said he would see what he could do for us, he went up and beyond and exceeded our expectations, the communication, follow up and process was best service we have ever had with a dealership. Pat found us the car and had it brought in from Wisconsin, we drove our new car off the lot this afternoon and could not be happier with the car, Pat Kelly, Jordan the Finance Manager and a few other staff members (Mr Saunders) who stopped and talked to us while we were waiting for paperwork! The most friendly staff. Very up front non hidden issues. Very honest and professional. Mr. Garrett was very cordial and friendly. Makes one feels at home.He explained very well all amenities of the vehicle I purchased. Thank you much to all staff involved in the purchase procedure. Also Mr. Jordan at the financial office was very helpful explaining and signing all documents.

The service department of LaFontaine Ford is amazing. Repairs were done quickly. The price was better than expected. Drew was the best. There are other dealerships closer to where I live, but I will always make the drive to LaFontaine Ford on Alpine.

Dropped off our Explorer for a recall that needed to be performed. They performed the work I expected plus another recall. Everything went great and done the same day. Also the shuttle driver Don was great! I would recommend them for service!

Pros: I appreciated the more personal touches to the quick lube/oil change process. More thorough examination of my vehicle. Detailed overview of this as a part of the “checking out” process. Cons: I was blown away by the cost to have my 2015 Toyota 4Runner, 4.0, 6 cylinder engine’s oil changed. I have had other places where the oil change was under $40. I was little annoyed that at the beginning they had me sign an estimate for $75.00. Still high, but manageable, then when checking out they told me the total cost…$93.77. I won’t accept the answer that, “you pay for what you get!” Mainly because I have had my oil changed on this vehicle and it has never cost that much. To me, not worth it! Won’t go again. Overall: I was confident that the oil got changed properly, and I have no reason to believe otherwise. I felt like I got duped because the estimate of $75.00 seemed high, but the $93.77 seemed so absurdly over the $75.00 and the work had been done, so I felt like I had no choice. (this review was solicited following services by LaFontaine Ford.)Addendum: 9/9/2023. Update to the previous review. Appreciated them reaching out in the last response. Called the number listed throughout the week. No return call was given to discuss further.

Recently purchased a 2023 F150, my salesperson, Pat Keller was excellent. He found and obtained the truck that I wanted. He was great at explaining the options. Made great recommendations. He was also the salesperson for my previous new truck, in 2013. Great job, Pat!!!

We had a great experience at LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids. We walked in without an appointment and Jerry was there ready to help us with the entire process start to finish. We were able to test drive a couple of vehicles, pick the care we wanted, submit our information and be accepted, and get the car detailed and we were out the door within a couple of hours! Jerry was incredibly knowledgable and easy to work with! We'll definitely be back in the future!

I went to get my oil changed on Saturday morning, August 19, 2023 at LaFontaine on Alpine Ave. One of the two bays were open so I drove right in. Yeah! No wait. I was greeted by the most friendly and courteous gentlemen, Evan and Sam. JT was under my vehicle so I didn’t see him, but I bet he too has great customer service. They did their jobs quickly and accurately and I came away with a new replacement LaFontaine license plate cover. This was an awesome experience. Keep up the great work!
