When they did my back breaks, they somehow disconnected or damaged a sensor back there. Then I paid around $400 over two trips and hours of waiting for them to not even find the problem. I took it to Russ' garage and they found the problem AND fixed it in less than 2 hours. For half as much.

Very disappointed as I have this shop a 5 star review before. This shop is dangerous- I took my car there because I trusted them and they said I needed my timing chain replaced. I paid $2000 for the repairs, had my car back for 2 days and then the engine overheated. I took my car back to them and they said I needed to replace my radiator. I asked why that wasnât seen before and they said it wasnât there before. I took my car to the dealership for a second opinion and they found that Midas left a screwdriver in the engine that punctured my engine and caused nearly $7000 worth of damage. This all happened in the weeks before Christmas also. When I called and spoke to the manager, Jeremy, he said âI donât know how a screwdriver got in there.â This shop doesnât take responsibility for what they did wrong, and I am going to have to take legal action if they donât choose to pay for the repairs I now need. Please do not take your vehicle here.

Brought from 5 to 1 stars considering the work experience I had here.
Been with Midas for a year and a half and left due to new opportunities.
Was offered to come back and treated like a dog.
Manager is money hungry and negative constantly and when I contacted HR they seemed to be helpful to a certain extent.
I knew I shouldâve never contacted them as they usually are never any actual help when it comes to physical issues in the shop.
I would never as an individual take my car to this shop but the Plainfield location due to the managers ignorance and lack of attention to real issues.
I had a relative bring their car In for engine noise and Jeremy the manager looked at it personally and saw nothing wrong.
Well she went to another shop later that evening and they told her she had no oil on the dipstick.
I canât fathom how this company trusts this guy and am sad I joined this team again.
Good luck to the team at the alpine location in all the experiments they have here.

They put the wrong muffler on my car. Now I have to pay someone else to put the correct muffler on. Very shoddy work. VERY!

I scheduled an appointment online and picked out the tires I wanted. I went to my scheduled appointment, and the tires I wanted were not in stock. Someone should have contacted me and let me know this. When I went to my appointment, I then had to pay a $100 deposit for tires because they had to be ordered.

This location is under new owners and the new owners seem to be driving it into the ground. I paid $154.84 to have my check engine light looked into. They ended up telling me what I already knew the problem was. Even though I paid that much money, there was an additional message on the screen in my car and they told me that this would have to be looked into separately. It is probably just a message indicating the code to the driver but they were going to charge me more money to look into it. In the end, they told me it would cost $678.00 to replace the thermostat in my 2012 Honda Civic which is about twice the price that it should have cost. These guys used to be trustworthy but unfortunately they have lost my business for good.

I had an outstanding service here when I had to get a wheel rod replaced for my car. Caleb was super helpful in walking me through the full car inspection and identifying the issues that needed repair. He was transparent about the services and pricing and ensured that I was getting the best deal for the service. He was also very communicative about offering complimentary ride services and touching base on when my car was ready for pickup. Caleb answered all of my questions and gave me the reassurance and peace of mind I needed for my vehicle.
I would 100% recommend this shop for any of your auto repair needs.

I took my car in at 8am on a Thursday (5/16/2024) and my car was completed at 8am on the following Saturday. I brought my car in because of a coolant leak that started off as a trickle (coolant tank becoming half full within 3 months) and over the course of 9 months of neglect, it had become a severe leak (coolant tank emptying within one week). I opted for a full inspection and had them replace anything they found necessary and their inspection found my car needed a replacement radiator, engine oil cooling system, front brake pads and rotors and a brake fluid flush. Their employees were kind and professional. Iâll be coming back for future maintenance!
