I tried super hard to give this shop a chance--but it's impossible to communicate after repair drop-off without physically visiting the store, it took two months longer than the estimate to get it back and only after lots of effort trying to get an update (which isn't a problem if it's done right), and although it did indeed function when I finally was able to get it back, it came back in slightly worse shape than when I dropped it off (missing springs and screws, scuff marks, stripped nuts)--not what I was looking for in a complete restoration. At this point, I probably going to resume sending my stuff to Audio Classics in NY for better and more thorough service. If your only criteria is that your equipment goes from "doesn't work" to "works," by all means this should suffice for you. But for anything you value (i.e. vintage McIntosh, in my case), this probably isn't your shop.

Brian was extremely helpful and is genuinely trying to help you over making a sale. He helped me choose the equipment that sounded good to me. Wide choice of equipment with a wealth of knowledge. I will be returning here.

Bryan did a wonderful job refurbishing my Fisher receiver. He thoroughly explained what he was going to do and went over it with me when I picked it up. He's incredibly easy to work with and my receiver sounds great!

If you have vintage audio, Brian (aka Misfitz Audio) is the ONLY place to go in Western Michigan for A+++ service. I brought in my Akai AA-1200 receiver for a cleaning, and in the course of cleaning the technician noticed an important capacitor that was ready to blow and replaced it. Receiver sounds incredible now! Bryan has hands-on experience with MANY vintage components and gives excellent, honest value for your component repair or rebuild. There are also components for sale at Misfitz Audio. I highly recommend Misfitz Audio!

I brought my vintage Denon integrated amp. I was concerned because it just wasn't "clean" like it used to be. The gentleman ( I believe his name is Bryan). Took time to listen to my concerns and made notes. He is very busy ( and now I know it's because he's so good!), so it took a few weeks to get it done. I received a detailed receipt of everything he checked and what he found. It was thoroughly tested, which made me feel better. When I got it home and hooked back up I couldn't believe how much better it sounded! I sounded just like the day I bought it!! All the switches moved like new! I'm absolutely thrilled at how excellent he did bringing my baby back up to perfect! I HIGHLY recommend their service department!! Top notch, professional with a personal, and caring touch!! While you are there...browse his showroom. He has some stuff that will make you drool and his prices are more then fair!!

Bryan is the the kind of guy that says whatever you want to hear... ohhh yeah I can fix it and blah blah blah... Had my pre amp in to be fixed and after waiting for 2 months I'm told he can't fix it. Won't ever do business with this company again... he's a goof ball and cannot be trusted to give you a straight answer. Maybe his shtick is to line his shelves with equipment waiting to be repaired just to look like he is busy and or knows what he is doing... either way I won't be back In this lifetime...

I have a 1974 Marantz receiver that just wasn’t working. I thought there was no hope for it. Before it ended up in the garbage I dropped it off at Misfitz Audio. I picked it up today, brought it home and it plays like new. I highly recommend this place. Very reasonable pricing and very knowledgeable on vintage equipment.

Interesting shop.Great deal of vintage gear.Prices for the most part r reasonable. Some gear priced over going market prices, however Misfits Audio fills a local niche that hasn't been in Grand Rapids, MI in quite sometime. Caveat Emptor.Thank u Misfitz.

Was looking to get a repair and add to my audio collection. Visited twice during advertised hours, nobody there. Call several different times, no answer, no reply to voice-mail. Went elsewhere.
