Reserved a car for Christmas Day to get to my families home. I used my rental credits from being a loyal National customer. Get to the rental center to pick up my car and I’m told there are none available. So instead of using my earned rental credits I had to go to a national competitor and spend money.

Super easy to pick up my vehicle. Someone was on sight at drop-off and specifically checked in to make sure that there were no problems with my rental or my experience. I appreciate also getting a follow-up survey afterwards.

Very happy they reinstated the Emerald Executive section. Last rental was awesome with an Audi A6. Nice and easy rental process.

Rented a car on Aug 6 and returned it on Aug 10. When I got to the hotel noticed there were 2 sets of keys in the cup holder. When I returned the car, I told the attendant there were 2 sets of keys in the cup holder. I received an invoice for the wrong car and no receipt for the correct care. It is now Sept 28, and 10 phone calls to customer service and still no resolution. Customer service won't provide an email or phone number to the Grand Rapids location to get this resolved. I will never rent from National again.

Brought car to Detroit and got stuck in stopped traffic. Car return was 20 minutes late and cost additional $30 dollars.Very unfortunate.Grand Rapids pickup was excellent. Detroit drop off not so nice

The staff and leadership in Grand Rapids always provide exceptional service!There are several flights, Delta and American, that do not arrive until after midnight, and they make sure they keep the counter open until after the last flight arrives, which is better than SFO and LGA and other major airports. Really impressive for GRR!

National is one of the few companies whose frontline employees provide consistently good customer service from location to location across the country. On a recent visit to the Gerald R. Ford Airport (Grand Rapids, MI), my arrival was delayed by several hours due to weather. I was now scheduled to arrive after the time in which this location would be closed. I called the toll free number and explained the issue and the customer service rep assured me someone would be at the National counter after hours. Sure enough, an employee was there to take care of me and another customer who had arrived well after midnight. Although the selection was slim (at that hour I was grateful for anything), the National employee got me on my way in little to no time. Regrettably, I did not catch his name. However he would have been the employee who worked the evening of late Monday August 28, 2023. Thank you sir!

The National Car Rental crew at GRR Airport has the best customer service hands down. I had heard from other customers that this was so. Upon arrival I met with Alonso which made the rental experience go smooth. He took the weight off of having to jump through all of the hoops of renting. I got the car that I wanted and the service I didn’t expect from a fast paced environment that encounters 100’s of people daily. Thank you D-Lo fro taking the time out to make the experience professional.

I cannot say enough good things about this team of rockstars at National car rental at Gerald Ford airport. Every single person I’ve come in contact with in my multiple times renting has been extremely professional, kind, helpful, courteous and friendly. They are everything you’d ever want from anyone in customer service. Ben made sure I got a special vehicle when renting to celebrate my anniversary and Alonso always checks to make sure that I am satisfied, and Kyndall at the exit booth is always able to find a minute to smile and make the last impression great as you drive away.So, if you aren’t renting from National at the Ford airport, I promise you are missing your chance to experience perfection. I rent for business several times a year around the country, and need a van. National's Emerald Club always has a few Chrysler Pacificas in the fleet, which serve me very well. For this rental and my last few, I have actually jumped into brand new vehicles. Needless to say they were clean and performed perfectly.Emerald Club makes it easy to just grab the vehicle I need, show my card on the way out, and get moving without any fuss.

Nobody at the counter, 9:30 on a Saturday morning. Emerald aisle closed. Trying to have 1 guy at the enterprise counter do everything, causing a huge line and delays. Very poor management, you can’t put your employees in this position.I have been a loyal national customer for a decade, emerald aisle exec. This extremely low (non existent)level of service will have meet looking elsewhere for my personal and business travel.

Terrible experience - waited in line for 45 minutes. We belong to National because of the Emerald Club and there is no wait time - you just pick your car, show your DL and GO. There was 1 employee, no Club, and a wait line of 20 people - ridiculous! I was very late my grandsons last baseball game. We were not even offered a discount for THEIR troubles.However, with all of that said, the ONE employee was very cool and tried his best to get everyone a car.
