Husband and I came into the store on a Sunday. The workers seemed like he did not want to help at all. We were buying $250-$300 boots. No effort from the 2 employees. We were only ones in the store. We had to ask ALL the questions, we had to asked about the feet being measured with the boot insert machine. I was extremely disappointed in this customer service. We aren't buying $10.00 shoes. We are dropping $300.00 on work boots

Great boots. Buy the upper end ones and they will last years. The lower end ones I can only get a year out of them.
And opt for an extra 70 bucks and get the insouls as an upgrade- you wont get sore feet after standing ALL DAY. Just my experience. I will continue to buy Red Wings because in all the years I have worn, i wear them basically every day, laces have never broken, clips or rings haven't broken. I Do wear out the bottoms through, after about 3 years.

The staff was friendly enough and super patient with me trying on multiple pairs but they told me if the boots didn’t work out I could return them to the store I was nearby in Ann Arbor (I was traveling at the time and GR store is almost 2 hours from me). This was blatantly false, Red Wings return policy requires you to return to the store you purchased from. Luckily my local store worked something out but I would’ve been extremely upset if I had to drive all the way back to Grand Rapids for a return.

I was the only customer, yet the employee acted as if I was an inconvenience to him. They didn't have any suitable work boots in my size, they offered to order the right size. I don't go to a specialty store for them to order in a pair!
