Good for Indian vegetables groceriesBut I see few drawbacks: A lot of the products sold are expired, No labels on the products throughout the store so you will be surprised at your bill at checkout.Hope they make sure they follow some standards.

Best Indian store in the town. Fresh vegetables, fairly priced quality groceries. Great service. Hard to find Indian items available here.

A great little shop chock full of spices, dry goods, select cookware, figurines, frozen prepared meals and every ingredient possible to make all your favorite Indian dishes from most regions of the country. Some fresh produce is stocked in a cooler. Helpful and friendly staff can answer questions and help you find all the items you seek. Bagged spices are available across an entire wall. Figurines of Ganesh and bells of all sizes can be found at the front of the store. A great little shop for all the right reasons

Don't get me wrong, the place had many great Indian products and fair prices, I'll probably be going there more often, but i was disappointed to see that many of the products were expired and on the shelf. Also, this must be due to the fact that in India, all retail products are required by law to have the price on the products, but there were no prices on the products and i had to ask for each price.

The prices on Patak jars is way overpriced at $6.99 whereas at Mediterranean Island, the same spice is $4.99. I will never buy my Indian groceries here.

Every type of Lentil you can imagine. The store can be overwhelming for a typical white girl that's unfamiliar with many of their products. Make sure you have plenty of time to browse.

I was happy to find a well stocked store in G.R, that said it was overwhelming in the selections, and as others mentioned virtually nothing is priced on product or shelf. I don't know if this is a cultural thing, but I never felt so unwelcomed in a grocery store. Maybe everyone is just really serious, and I confused it with uncaring. Several employees were present, it was not busy at all and yet no one asked if needed help ( I was there for over 30 minutes, it was fascinating to check out all the products). Eventually I rather apologetically asked the lady at the counter for help with pricing on different sized spices, so I don't overbuy and end up with stale spice. She did oblige, so that was nice. I then set all the stuff on the register counter and hoped I could afford it. I said thanks, but no response after paying. I will not return again, there has to be a better option in G.R Mediterranean island on 44th also has some Indian items, FYI

This place is legit. They offer so many spice mixes. They carry many east Indian snack and chutneys and teas. I love their frozen options. I grabbed these parathas last time I went. It’s such a simple but tasty addition to our meal.

We used to go to this store from Kalamazoo since they have a variety of items. But recently, they have increased all of the prices. Most of the items' price stickers on the shelves have been removed, so most of the time you'll be surprised once you check out the items. When we compared prices with other stores, even in Kalamazoo Indian stores, I noticed that the price at Spice of India was always higher. Not a good place to do shopping.

A lot of the products sold are expired, I accidentally bought something expired yesterday and now they won’t take returns or exchanges. Waste of money. No labels on the products throughout the store so you will be surprised at your bill at checkout.
