After relocating to Kalamazoo from California we needed a new sofa. We like Mid-century design and found the perfect sofa at Stonesthrow Furniture in Grand Rapids. The cost plus shipping was what we expected to pay only for a couch so were delighted to find exactly what we wanted at a great price. Love our new comfortable, great looking sofa.

Stonesthrow has high quality service as well as high quality furniture. We had a little hiccup with supply chain issues (not their fault) but they resolved it quickly and helped us still get the couch we were hoping for. They also leased us a different couch while we were waiting which was very helpful. We very much enjoyed our time working with Karen and her team to get a sectional and chair for our new home. We love our new furniture and we highly recommend Stonesthrow!

We loved browsing Stonesthrow's showroom, and stumbled on a dining table we loved! It was just the right amount of simplicity and style with the curve on the sides. The table we bought was actually the display table, and it was in perfect condition! The staff were very helpful and patient as we debated our options.Our table arrived a bit delayed due to the shipment's truck breaking down before our delivery date, and funny enough, the truck broke down outside our house after delivering our table and had to be towed. Despite the shipment delay, we were very happy with our purchase, and can't wait to host friends and family at our dining room table.We'll certainly be back to Stonesthrow for more furniture in the near future. The picture shows the table at Stonesthrow show room, and it finally set up in our new home.

Was told they only sold modern furnishings. And while the store is a little more trendy than most in town, they have great options for everyone. And if it's not on the floor, they can help find a great one to order. Their design team is top notch. Definitely trust their help, because that's what it is. Help, not an over the top sales pitch. I respect that.

I'm writing this review because my wife doesn't feel comfortable writing one. First I going to say my wife just loves this store. So much so that in the last year we purchased a couch, coffee table, rug and several accent pillows. After waiting several months for our couch it came in damaged. We reordered and have since received and love it. The issue is when the couch was delivered a pillow was supposed to be delivered with the order. It was left behind. We had go to the store to pickup. My wife said it doesn't look right when she picked it up. They said sorry you special ordered it. Sincethen the pillow is not right and is out of shape. Asked again about returning it and was told again sorry you special ordered it. We feel if it's defective you should be able to return it. Not happy with this reply.

HORRIBLE customer service!! I originally spent about $10,000 at their store. I purchased a sofa, sectional, and bar cabinet. The sofa and sectional had to be ordered and was told that they would be roughly 4-6 months. I purchased a bar cabinet off the floor. They were going to pull it off the floor and have their service or warehouse person make sure everything was fine with it. He was on vacation for a week or two at the time. About a month later, I was going to be in Grand Rapids with a trailer and I called a couple days before to arrange picking up the cabinet. I was told the bar cabinet was still on the floor. I was also told to bring a second person because only women worked at the store and they could not help me move the cabinet. If I didn't have a second person, I would have to arrange for them to transfer the bar cabinet to the warehouse where the men worked so that they could help me move the cabinet. No offer was make to have one of the men come from the warehouse to assist me in picking up the bar cabinet. I was told that the delivery guys come to the store once a week and they refused to have someone come on the day that I would be in Grand Rapids. The sofa was originally scheduled to be delivered at least a month before the sectional and I told them that I would pay for an extra delivery in order to have the sectional as soon as it was delivered to the store. There was some updates over the months to let me know that everything was still on schedule. When the scheduled time arrived, I waited another week and heard nothing from the store. I called to see if there was a delay in delivery from the manufacturer. I was extremely surprised to learn that the sofa was delivered to the store 1-2 weeks earlier. I asked why I had not been contacted and they told me they thought I was on vacation and wanted the sofa delivered with the sectional at least a month later! That was just plain untrue because I NEVER said anything about a vacation because I had not taken nor scheduled any vacation from my job. Delivery was scheduled the following week for the sofa and bar cabinet. When the bar cabinet was delivered, the delivery men broke it!!! They broke a "door" that folded down to be a supported preparation area. They broke the hinges on the door and then asked if I wanted to keep it and try to find hinges at the hardware store for a cabinet that was made in China!! I refused and had them take it back with them. Now, I understand stuff happens; and, while disappointed, I wasn't angry because I understand accidents happen. BUT, I HEARD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FROM THE STORE!!! NOBODY called me to apologize, to ask if I wanted it repaired, or if I wanted a refund. THREE DAYS later, I CALLED the store to find out what was going on. It was obvious in talking to the woman on the phone that she could care less!! After waiting about four months, THEY broke the furniture I bought and NOBODY from Stonesthrow cared. The woman apologized once and asked what I wanted to do. I told her that I wanted a refund and she processed the refund and that was it. Not even another apology when we hung up. While Stonesthrow may have nice, expensive furniture; I had absolutely HORRIBLE customer service on several occasions!! A small, family owned furniture store should have significantly better customer service than what I experienced--several times!!

Due to COVID and floods in Texas furniture deliveries were delayed. While this is out of control of Stonethrow, they failed to keep their customers informed of delays and projected deliveries. I found the customer service to be exceptionally poor. Additionally a piece of furniture was delivered looking quite weathered and damaged I was told that the sales person who sold me the piece was new and did not properly explain to me that the leather I had ordered tends to look weathered. While the onus is on the sales person to inform the client they still did not hold themselves accountable for the misinformation. Again poor customer service I do not recommend this company.
