We did not have a pleasant experience with Superior Watch Repair. My dad and I dropped off two watches back in March 2024. The owner told us they would be finished in a week. Two months later and multiple check ins and the watches were not fixed (simple fixes might I add). He eventually just gave us our watches back and disregarded the whole situation. Never apologized or sympathized with us. He just moved on to the next customer and started working on watches right in front of us.
As someone who works in the hospitality industry and refers this place to visitors to Grand Rapids, I'm so disappointed with the service we were given.

I went to a kid you not 14 different jeweler or watch stores to try to get my MVMT watch battery replaced. Most people told me they didn't have the right tools, but some people told me that the watch was too big. This is the first place that could change my watch battery and it took about 5 minutes. Come here for MVMT watch battery replacements.

I found my old watch in a drawer over the weekend and decided to get it working again. It needed a battery and a new leather band. I took it to Superior Watch and Repair during my lunch break. The gentleman at the counter had the battery replaced and a new band on in a half hour. He was kind and courteous, and the price was reasonable.

Nice place. Nice owner. I did a walk in for a batter on my watch. Not a cheap watch. So I was looking for someone with skill. He had the battery, tools and know how. Definitely would recommend. 30 years in the same neighborhood.
