***Update***uhaul reps need customer service training. Arguing with a customer without providing a solution is terrible business. The tech had to disconnect tail light wiring harness to remove the bumper. He failed to reconnect the harness upon reinstallation. I had to troubleshoot myself as they provided no help. I also installed the trailer wiring myself without any issues. Like i previously mentioned...donot take vehicle to Uhaul for trailer and wiring installation. Wow..wow..wow...there is so many bad reviews you would think Donald Chump running this business! Ordered a hitch and wiring install. Dropped the Audi off at the scheduled time. They contacted me a few hours later telling me they can't install the wiring due to previously installed wiring. I said fine ...just install the hitch. So they installed the hitch then called and told me vehicle is done. I arrived to pick up the vehicle. Start the car to discover electrical light fault and check engine light. On my way home I called uhaul to tell them the issue. They told me to come back tomorrow due to tech going home for the day. So I checked the fuses. All fuses are okay. So issue is definitely in the wiring behind the bumper. You would think the tech would make sure all the lights work as standard procedure after install but no. What a waste of cash and day. I donot recommend bringing vehicles for hitch install to uhaul. Please save yourself the hassle and frustration by going elsewhere.

The young lady that assisted me was wonderful. We were waiting in line and she was helping another customer who is a complete Karen rude as ever. She had the audacity to put her ID and the representative space and mutter under her breath, swearing at her for about 10 to 15 minutes as I did have to wait in line about 20 minutes because the lady was being so irate. It was not cool to see a customer treat management like that. The agent remains calm and professional as she could be after the lady will see it literally screaming in the agent space I always do business with U-Haul, just because of the ladies, professionalism, calmness and accuracy.

Pick up in Traverse City was great... However, I was under the impression that the rate was for the day (dropped off in Grand Rapids Mi) not the milage. Did not expect a $59 up-charge. Maybe it was in the small print but still an unwelcomed surprise.

Customer service was great.
The truck itself was not maintained well. The brakes pulsated. The front end was loose and alignment was definitely off. At speeds of 50 mph on the highway it was side tramping and swerving. I got off the highway and took side roads the remainder of the way from Grand Rapids to Holland and then back from Holland to Grand Rapids. The wiper blades were old and not clearing the windshield well. The truck was almost at 200,000 miles. It either needs to be retired or needs a all around safety and maintenance update. Very disappointed in the saftey of the vehicle!

Truck was clean and good, the app check in and drop off availability. But be aware, once you complete the check in procedure using your app and complete truck check in the back, you need to head back to the office and wait in line to grab your keys, that was the most annoying part. The app asks you to ask any associate to help you grab the keys (Keys and Truck no. ON THE APP) but none was willing to help till they were done with other customers, it took an additional 20min to wait. The same is valid for drop off, it wasnt clear with the App what to do after you park the vehicle and do the drop off procedures using the app, the app asks you to drop the keys, but assiciate asks you to leave the car open and leave the keys inside, so your going back and forth from truckcto office to comply. It would've been great if was clear from the beginning. Otherwise the truck rental process was great.

I VOTE this location the worst U-Haul in the state of Michigan... local guide with work and experience with multiple U-Hauls throughout the states, and business owner. These people are the worst! Don't rent here! I moved in in December 2023 and moved states in February 2024 during a painful breakup. It was impossible to get ahold of anyone while calling from Illinois or even in person or phone before going, and I lost my key to lock also. I decided it was cheaper to let it all go to auction in May or so, and they have purposefully delayed their auction every month and are continuing to bill me. What was 200 in late payments approximately is now $1,177 see Pic below they are getting slammed in court for this harassment. The Michigan state Attorneys office will also be investigating this soon. They literally delay the auction every month to keep billing, even after going in person and demanding they stop. I even called Grand Rapids police and they call my voicemail though it's blocked!

I hate the fact that this is my only option to move as the service is absolutely awful! I scheduled a hitch installation weeks in advance, yet on the day of installation they tried to bump me to a different day and then when I gave push back they did it and took 4 hours when I was quoted 1.5. I informed them that I needed a manager to call me and that never happened, cuz why would they care? I have a trailer reservation and I highly doubt this is going to go smoothly. If you have other options, go somewhere else!

A shout out to Kaziah who was a wonderful help to us. We rented the wrong trailer in Traverse City. Kaziah in the GR office helped us get a new one, communicated with the TC office and did everything she could to help us get back on the road. Her professionalism and cheerfulness calmed an otherwise frustrating situation. Kudos to both the TC and GR offices for having employees who really wanted to help us. Thank you.

Uhaul trailer looked old and trashy. Embarrassed to drive around with it. Had to wait 15 minutes in side for someone to half ass greet me and act like it was a pain to have to help a customer. Attitude was anything but iconic
