“Stephanie was amazing! She listened to what my daughter wanted. She reassured us, made it easy to pick the perfect dress for my baby girl's Sweet 15... next week! I am so impressed by her service and will forever refer and recommend her and this location!”
“I love thrift shopping, so while I was in the area for a disc golf tournament at Brewer Park, I searched for thrift stores in Grand Rapids. Elevated caught my eye with its intriguing name, and it did not disappoint. The place is much bigger than I expected, and everything is thoughtfully arranged. I had a fantastic time exploring—it's a true thrifting adventure with just the right mix of quirky items like creepy baby dolls, disco balls, books, and offerings from local vendors. I'll definitely be back with my thrifting friend the next time we're in town for a disc golf tournament. I found some great pieces at good prices that I'm excited to refurbish.
GO HERE IF YOU LOVE VINTAGE SHOPPING. #1 on the list in the area.”
“Cannot say enough about how great this place is, how awesome the inventory - and what wonderful people the owners are. They clearly have a great eye for quality mid century furniture - and I LOVE their commitment to making it accessible”
“This is one of the neatest place that I have ever been in.what you,,migbt be looking for from days gone by, is more than likely there. And tim the owner; go out of his way to make sure that your time. Is well spent in his little store. If you went in being ok you will be smiling when you come out.”
“Flashback is such an awesome spot! They have a great variety of clothes and the prices are unbeatable. Even better than the clothing is the owner, Peri. She is such a kind soul and a very giving person. You can tell how much she cares for her community and those around her! She is so easy to talk to and has great recommendations for other vintage spots to check out! Flashback is my new favorite shop!”
“I’m not going to dock stars just because I personally think prices are sky high; obviously there are a few guys willing to pay them and someone behind the scenes is trying to make it in a tough biz. But $50 for nothing-special sweatshirts and $40 and up denim (which feels like 1/2 the store), I don’t understand this store at all. $80 for some basic Lands End type coat was just mind numbing.
The couple times I’ve tried shopping here, not once have I bought anything. Just 20 reviews in 2+ years being open lends credence to that. I will say it is a beautiful, intimate store that’s well organized; and there are some cool pieces especially if you’re into any Detroit teams/local collegiate.”
“Really cute place, small but had great items, bought a couple dresses quite unlike any of my other dresses. Great prices, great selection, great staff. My only thing is the mannequin by the changing room makes it hard to close the curtain without a gap.”
“I had a neighbor who moved into my apt. building and had no furniture. I could not believe how friendly and warm the owner was, and gave us a discount on a sofa she was selling, and chair and table. It really helped us to be able to find a few pieces for her. They also helped move the couch and furniture into the van. Such a nice place and good people to help.”
“I love this location. It's minutes from my house, always well organized and has ample parking. I really like Mason and the rest of the regular staff. Everyone is so nice and funny, with a little quirkiness that always makes for a fun chat during checkout. Please continue to price items reasonably and treat your staff and customers well! Don't change!”
“A really, really neat little vintage store that has a lot of really, really nice items. From men and womens clothing, to jewelery, purses and more. I took my wife here for her birthday and she picked out a set of earrings and a ring. She loves it!”
“Unfortunately I find that items are overpriced compared to other consignment shops in the area and there are no returns which is unfortunate considering other consignments do offer returns. On my last visit I found a dress with the original tag still on, the original store had marked it on sale with a sale price of $55 and urban exchange was asking $104.It’s a bummer that folks are asked to set beverages down while shopping, not a great customer experience especially when located a few doors down from a local cafe and I love to sip while I brows.”
“I stopped by the 4 Mile Goodwill on January 5 in a snow advisory. There were only 2 cars in the parking lot. It was a nice leisurely treasure hunting day! All the employees were rearranging things and having a nice work day. I imagine it is nice to have those days when it is not that busy to prepare for the busy days.”
“Found so much stuff, I'm definitely going back for an entire day soon. I have never seen something so laid out and organized. It's like the perfect storm of antiques and collectibles...”
