  We went to a macro invertebrate workshop and it was very well done! All of my kids ages 6 to 17 learned a lot and enjoyed themselves. We hope to be active volunteers with the WMEAC in the future! Thank you for the opportunity to learn about our local watersheds

  WMEAC is a grass roots Organization which has been defending the environment for 50 years. When I worked for the organization from 1974 to 1979 it was a ragtag group of volunteer, lawyers and other activists. Today it’s an established Organization that’s having quite an impact.
  
  Even if you’re not into activism the building is worth a visit. On the inside it looks pretty normal, But it has won awards as one of the most “green” buildings in the region. For example, it has a lawn growing on the roof to provide extra insulation!
