This used to be an amazing location - the recent remodel and more of a true 'corporate' feel has ruined it. Everything from the selection to the employees are now below expectations .... The corporate mindset has once again ruined a good thing.

I used to eat lunch here 2-3 times a week. The dining area was always busy and the selections were good, fresh and plentiful. Enter Covid. They closed for a while and finally reopened a while back. Less selections, the soda machine and fireplace were removed, you have to cash out at the other end of the store and walk back to the dining area, and above all, the dining room is now almost empty. The prices have gone thru the roof. Too bad, time to find another place I guess.

If you go here, I suggest not returning bottles/cans. Most of the cans they don't accept , but when you try and cash them out at the Self-Checkout isles and put them in the slot, a lady with dark hair in her early 40's (seems like she's a supervisor or manager) will come up to you, glare at you, and then go on a 5 minute rant on how you just ruined her day because she has to spend the time to unlock the machine and take the slip out of where just coupons were meant to go, and she'll point you to some sign in the way upper-left corner that I didn't see initially. I think part of it is if you don't look like a wealthy senior citizen from Ada (which is their client base), they tend to treat you like dirt. I will be taking my business to Meijer moving forward and already filed a complaint to corporate. Congratulations supervisor in her young 40's with dark hair that works the customer service!

One of the higher end markets in our area. Beautiful Deli with Hot or Cold selections, a Sushi Chef making fresh Sushi, Bakery with a Cookie Bar to drool over, A Butcher for fresh cut meat selections, Fish Display that is make each day with fresh catch selections, plus your open cooler display of meats and frozen fish. They have one of the most well stocked wine, liquor and beers in our area. A whole organic area, generous produce displayed with appeal and artistry on their shelves and fresh lunch items for a quick pick-up. A really nice feature are their Pure Made in Michigan items. A Starbucks for that morning Joe and so much more. Need I say more, I love shopping here. The presentation in the items on the shelves reflects their thoughts and feelings they want the shoppers to have.

I think this D&W is probably a tad better than the one at Knapp's corner. They have a really good cheese and charcuterie selection as well as a good wine selection. The produce is reasonably good and they have a good offering of general grocery merchandise for such a small store. The best things about this location are the hot food section, the coffee shop and the deli. I love the quality of the Boar's Head items and the service has been consistently great. As with the other D&W, however, my main complaint is that I see items on the shelves that have expired. This is not as prevalent here as at Knapp's corner, but it's still annoying to see when it should be a preventable issue. Still, this store has its uses and I find it seems to be run better than the Meijer down the road.
