Carl and his team are true professionals. The estimating and quoting process was easy and fair. The staff is courteous, using care and professionalism during the move. We have used them for 2 major moves and I can’t recommend them enough. We also used their packing services which is great and makes a move much smoother.

Carl and his team went above and beyond and that is really an understatement. It was impressive how Carl visited my father's home 2X to help dad get more comfortable with the move to a senior living facility from his large home in Rockford. His team of of packers movers were also incredible implementing the plan, hanging his favorite artwork and placement of his furnishings. THANK YOU!

We paid White Mitten Movers nearly $7,000.00 to move and store our household goods. Half of our things were stored in their warehouse for 10 weeks. Sadly, something happened while our things were in storage, as most of the boxes and contents arrived with an oily, nasty odor. We wondered if a fumigant had been used in the warehouse, due to the obvious chemical odor. This obnoxious smell was really noticeable once the cartons were stored in the basement and opened.
On moving day, the staff worked hard, but the crew manager was not helpful: he insisted that he knew exactly where our furniture should go; he didn’t assemble items that had been taken apart; he left 5 *pallets* of boxes in the garage. He also neglected to lay a protective covering on our newly-refinished wood floors, even though we paid an extra $190 for this service. To be fair, the company sent 2 men a few days later to move the other boxes into our basement.
In the end, our insurance company paid for a hotel stay while our possessions and home underwent ozone treatment.
I was shocked, appalled, and dismayed by the response of the company owner. First, he sent someone to inspect our belongings for the odor - but the woman immediately said that she had lost her sense of smell due to Covid! In a subsequent phone conversation the owner accused us of sabotaging our things by using tainted boxes or otherwise spraying our things with fumigants. We were required by the company to use U-Haul boxes, which cost us nearly a thousand dollars. The boxes were brand new and did not smell when they were packed. The boxed items that were delivered by us to the new house had no bad odors. The owner was less than sympathetic and did nothing to help us with this problem, nor would he admit to having done anything wrong while our goods were in storage.
The measure of a good company is not what happens when things go right, but in how problems are resolved when things go wrong. Therefore, I cannot recommend White Mitten for moving or storing household belongings.

We had White Mitten move us from our large home to a condo. The whole experience was simply the very best. From the first phone call to the last pick up of supplies. They provided a fantastic packing cart system that made it super easy to pack up the kitchen. The movers were excellent and wrapped and covered everything thoroughly. The whole process was the easiest and smoothest move I’ve ever experienced. Just excellent. Thank you so very, very much. Joan?❤️

They did an outstanding job when we had to move out of our house of 21 years. I highly recommend them. They were extremely helpful and very hard workers. They were easy to work with and very considerate of all of our belongings.

One of their trucks nearly caused a slew of accidents by speeding and weaving thru traffic. Very unprofessional and flipped me off when they cut me off. Would avoid at all costs

Both Liz and Kelly were very aggressive, short and rude with me on the phone. I was constantly interrupted when attempting to explain my family’s situation. This was happening while my mother was hospitalized and we were getting ready to move her into assisted living. These women were short on compassion when it was much needed.

Liz and staff very efficiently moved all my items and put everything away where I could find it. When I walked in to my new senior residence, I couldn’t believe how much room I had. They arranged the furniture perfectly. It is so nice to be able to spend my first few days here getting to know people instead unpacking box after box after box.
