1st time at this hand r block, unbelievable that it was 160 dollars for 6 minutes of work, the agent mumbled and I could never hear her, receptionist never spoke, would never go back again, terrible experience

They charge you a fortune. My simple return was over $400. Not only that but now my refund is being audited and I have to wait even longer. Yet every year prior I have done them myself for next to nothing and have never had any issues. Do your taxes yourself, these places are worthless.

I cannot speak to their tax services, but they have really good customer service. I walked in because I was lost and the nice lady at the front desk. She let me use her phone and tried to give me instructions.

I would advise anyone to stay away from this location. Upon arrival for my appointment they told me that I had called and cancelled it after confirming my appointment less than 5 hours prior. I showed them my call log and asked which phone number cancelled my appointment and the lady gave me a phone number I have no association with and a wrong last name! Old lady at the desk was super rude and was absolutely no help and told us we would have to reschedule another day. I have gone to H&R block for years and have never had such a bad experience. The Allendale or Wyoming locations seem to have staff with more than 2 brain cells!

My husband and I typically use turbo tax but this was our first year married and wanted to have in person professional help for our first year filing jointly. Our tax “specialist” was very incompetent with typing in our information, we had to have her fix multiple things multiple times like our address phone number and names. That was frustrating, due to the lack of ability there, but it only went downhill from there. Our questions weren’t listened to and we had to ask multiple different times to get an answer. Now, later on, I’m finding out that she gave us poor information. Now I have to call the IRS and wait on hold to correct Nellys errors and misinformation. Perhaps we just had miscommunication due to her lack of English, but that isn’t an excuse in my opinion. We paid to have a professional service in something very important because we aren’t experts ourselves and now have a headache to deal with and still no help. I’m frustrated. Won’t go back to HR block. I’m sure plenty of others have good experiences here, this is just ours. Taxes are difficult and confusing enough without poor aid and advice.

We have been going to H&R Block to get our taxes done for several years and had always had good experiences until moving and having our taxes filed at this office. From the very beginning, no one seemed to know at all what they were doing, including the first "tax pro" we met with who only informed us after meeting with her in-person and us making several attempts to follow up as to status of our taxes that she personally would not be able to prepare them (what?!?!). She then turned us over to one of her colleagues who seemed just as - if not more - incompetent. In the end, it took both my husband and I several attempts at contacting them and trying to move the process forward to get our taxes filed and they STILL were not filed on time, resulting in a $20 late fee. Completely unprofessional, don't seem to provide any value or actual knowledge and I would NEVER go back here or recommend them to anyone.

This tax season has turned into a very inconvenient nightmare and Marshall my h&r block worker has been very helpful and patient with me and right outside all of my questions and trying to figure out how to go about the situation I am in now. You assured me that I am able to contact him and that always there to help and try to get through this frustrating emotionally, physically, finally and mentally. I have used H&R Block to prepare my taxes more than 10 years because they always do an excellent job; Agents are well-trained, professional, and personable; they are thorough & quick, and the peace-of-mind option adds an extra layer of protection. I know I get every tax deduction I am entitled to.

Sabrina was so easy to work with, during this pandemic I already have to wear a mask 10-12 hours daily, and not having to go into a location and do everything from a text she would send to update me through messages was amazing. She communicated efficiently and was timely with all the needed tasks.
