LaToya is amazing. My son had three classes to get him to learn how to put contacts in. We could not take home contacts until he could show them that he could successfully put them in and take them out. The first two classes were a bust. Today we had a different teacher though, LaToya and she was a godsend. Patient, knowledgeable and understanding. It was night and day difference and we are driving home with contacts in!!! I can’t say enough good things about her!

The eye doctor is great, modern clean environment. Eye doctor is great and they have retinal scan.However, when I went in I requested a contact fitting but the doctor talked me out of it, saying my prescription was barely strong enough to have glasses. A few days later I was thinking i really would like to have them. But when I talked to them they told me it would be another $60 and I’d have to come back in. Pretty frustrating and I’m not going to drop more money after I wanted it in the first place. I’ll probably get my exams here but buy glasses / contacts elsewhere.

Ordered glasses in June, here we are two weeks before school starts and my son has no glasses yet. Called three times in the last three weeks just for them to say a manager will call you back. Finally the third time I said give me a refund. They said the glasses probably got lost in shipping but they’re not even sure.

Every step of the way here was disappointing, except for getting a refund.To start with, they “forgot” to send in my order to the lab, therefore it took over 3 weeks to receive the glasses before finding out they weren’t right.I received glasses that were simply made incorrectly due to technician(s) that do not know what they are doing.The business hours do not allow working people to do business here; it cost me 3 half days off work trying to get these glasses straightened out, with no success (already cost me more than the glasses were worth).The price gouging on everything is awful. It’s an obvious insurance grab. I eventually got glasses elsewhere for about 1/3 the cost without even using my insurance, and they work great.I will say the manager at this facility is great, she tried everything she could to make it right but simply had no control over an incompetent lab.I felt the need to write this review to maybe help someone avoid all the issues and frustrations I experienced here.

Great discounts when you buy multiple pairs. Staff was helpful and accommodating to me. I bought Oakley sunglasses prescription and these lenses were amazing, strongly recommend. Bought second pair regular glasses and didn't love them. I was able to return and pick a different frame and everything. Thanks RX!

Fiance had stopped by two other eyeglass places before stopping here because his glasses were broken they said they couldn't fix them we stopped in and within about 20 minutes glasses were fixed. Absolutely amazing staff very kind and helpful even though when we went in we were very upset. I highly recommend going here if u need eye exam and glasses. Ellie and Julie were both very helpful and friendly loved the experience

Updated review- After speaking with customer relations and the manager of the Grandville location, we came to a resolution that I was not satisfied with. Unfortunately that was the only option i had to get my new glasses. I expressed my feelings to customer relations and they proceeded to comment on my review saying I was satisfied. That same day I was told my glasses would be ready in 7 to 10 days. That was February 6th 2023 and today is March 9th 2023. I have not received a single phone call about my order. I will not be changing my review.Original review- I have been having issues at a different location so I called the Grandville location hoping they would be better with communication. That is not what I received. The lady who answers the phone was not very friendly and very inconsiderate. They would not take any responsibility of the mistake they had made, which resulted in my credit card being charged for more than what was told to me on the phone. I have a week until my warranty and exam expires. I will be going elsewhere, rx optical is not the company they were years ago!

I was looking for a new eye doctor and was recommended from a coworker to schedule a visit with Dr. Alana Brown; he said she was so kind, and the best of the best. I am so glad I listened to him!

My 8yo daughter’s glasses broke and the two ladies, Juli and Ellie, who were helping us, really turned a bad situation into a really pleasant experience. They both spent an hour and a half finding the best solution for us and were kind and patient the whole time. When we came in my daughter was upset and really bumming out, but after working with Juli and Ellie she ended up having a really good time and truly enjoyed the glasses she left with. In fact, in the car on our way home my daughter said “Those girls were really friendly and happy.” And coming from an 8yo, it doesn’t get more honest than that. Juli and Ellie, thank you for turning a bad night into a really good and fun experience!

Always a great experience at RX optical. I can easily make an appointment only a few weeks in advance and the providers are very thorough with their exam. Highly reccomend

I have used RX Optical For my glasses now for a number of years. This time lenses were ordered on 11/7/2022. To date (12/16/2022) I have STILL not gotten my lenses. I have already paid for the lenses up front. Tomorrow I plan on going to RX Optical to get my money back (if possible). Regardless, I will NEVER use RX Optical again. They have changed drastically after being bought out by "My Eye Dr."

The staff worked hard to find ways I could save money as I didn't have vision insurance. Also very helpful with picking out the right pair of glasses for me. Very friendly and helpful. Dr explained things and showed concern for me.
