We worked with Dan LaLonde today and can’t say enough good things. He is the most kind and charitable man. He has the warmest heart, and supporting this business means you’ll be supporting substantial charitable efforts and wonderful people. Thank you so much, Dan ❤️LaLonde’s is so much more than a jewelry store to our family.-Anne & Joe

I guess talking down to people must keep them in business somehow? Found a vintage ladies Hamilton at an estate sale. Noticed the crystal was not pushed down 100% and wanted to see if it could be pushed down. I called in ahead and talked to a very nice women who told me to stop in and they would be able to take a look. Walked in and spoke again with a very nice lady. I was extremely forthcoming about how the watch wasn’t of a lot of value and that I was just looking to see if it was even possible. As I was talking, an older gentleman interrupted us and immediately barged into our conversation. He then proceeded to tell me how worthless my watch was and that if I thought my girlfriend would like it that she probably wouldn’t notice it being unleveled. I’m not entirely sure what that meant but he then proceeded to tell me how it wasn’t worth his time, and to come back when I’ve got a Patek Philippe. I was incredibly taken back by just the sheer arrogance of the old man, and could tell the younger lady was incredibly uncomfortable as well. I’ve never delt with this kind of rudeness at any other watch maker/jeweler I’ve talked to. Weather you’re someone with a patek or someone with a Hamilton, I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere since clearly you are just a dollar sign to the elderly male staff.

One of the best experiences I've ever had regarding information on a piece of jewellry. I've been to a lot of stores and know a lot of people in the biz and I can honestly say Dan was polite kind and informative and I would go back in heartbeat that kind of attitude is hard to find. I was so nervous when I went in and they made me feel comfortable and realxed. The most welcome Ive felt in any local business in a long time. Beautiful store.

I went there this morning, the owner was very welcoming, and then his wife extremely professional. The estate jewelry is just beautiful. I needed some professional advice about a diamond ring and the owner was spot on accurate, highly recommended,, He made us feel right at home extremely intelligent and fantastic prices. Don't waste your time going anywhere else in Grosse Pointe.

Not a great experience here. We took two watches in to get fixed. For one we paid $90 to get a crown fixed because it had fallen off. When we picked up that watch the crown was attached, but the winding movement was notchy. So we took it back to remedy the problem. Two weeks later, when we were able to pick up the watch, we found that the crown still had that sloppy and notchy winding movement. The second watch was a Rolex that stopped self winding. Got the estimate back that it'll be $800 to fix. We bit the bullet and went through with it. When it came time to pick it up, they had polished the sh!t out of the watch. I asked them to remove the polish and make it look like my old watch. Next day picked up the watch and it looked good again. The watch now is back to self winding, but it runs fast. Jeeze. Forget it. Both watches not fixed correctly, cost $890, had to go to the shop at least 4 times.

La Londe Jewelers has impeccable customer service. I was not a "big ticket" purchaser with them but they treated me as though I were. They have a beautiful collection of designs and also estate jewelry. I look forward to patronizing this wonderful local business for years to come.

Written by Nene Henkel Brennan I was treated with EXTREME unprofessionalism by a gray haired man when they mistakenly hand engraved an expensive antique piece of furniture UPSIDE DOWN. They attempted to fix their mistake, but definitely devalued the expensive price I paid for the piece. This man had the nerve to express to me how upset he was that it cost him $300 to attempt to correct THEIR mistake. I was still charged $84 for the hand engraving!!! WOW
