I was warmly greeted and readily offered help by the new associate Jordan today and it really set my morning off right. Thanks Jordan! The other long-time associates here are second to none with their knowledge and expertise not only with what is in their store but how to make it work for your needs. This store and it’s people behind the desk are a true neighborhood gem and I will support them with my dollars and patronage whenever possible! I urge you to do so too!

Found their prices on select hardware items much higher than nearby hardware stores such as Gilbert's Hardware on Harper between 8 and 9 mile rd. (St. Clair Shores). Also, the staff at Gilbert's were MUCH more pleasant to deal with. I cannot recommend this business for hardware (prices too high) or their staff (fail to abide by the maxim "the customer is always king"). Until they get their business model right - shop elsewhere.

Loved this place! Was a little skeptical upon approaching the store but the employees were always asking if you needed help and were always walking around. Seemed like a very comfortable atmosphere where everyone knew each-other and there were so many things packed into a little store! Found some fun things like a bar stain remover that I have never seen before and they even had snacks and beverages. The counter dog was adorable and looked like he ran the whole store!

They have everything here, a great place to find whatever you need, especially if you need something for an older Grosse Pointe home. A genuine old fashioned neighborhood hardware store. You'll find what you need there. The back area is for wood cutting, screen and storm repair. They will have what you need and can almost always fix what you need fixed. Their one drawback isn't what they sell or what they can repair, it's their overall attitude of unfriendliness when you need assistance. They just seem really irritated if you have a question. Maybe they just have enough business and know that people will come in anyway because they'll have what is needed, but a friendlier staff would be nice.

The prices are a little high, but they’re not Lowes or Hone Depot. It’s nice to have a great hardware store in the neighborhood.

Helpful staff and great product selection. I go there for marine epoxy as it seems no one else carries it. Love the place!

I made a purchase of several items totaling some $60. I returned within the hour because two small items totaling about $4 needed to be switched out for the correct items. Difference 15 cents. I explained I never carry cash and didn’t want to use my debit card for 15 cents. Her reply “Yeah we would have to charge you 50 cents if you want to use your card”. After a few seconds of her offering no other solution, I said “I guess I’ll have to look in my car for some loose change”. She then decided to be helpful and counted the “Leave a penny, take a penny” stash and came up with 9 cents. I thought great, problem solved. Nope. Another blank stare. I asked a couple customers in the store if they had 6 cents. Nothing. Another blank stare so I headed to the car as she told the next customer in line she could help him at the next register. I found 3 cents but knew this was not going to enough so I found myself begging a man on the streets for 3 cents. Fortunately he was able to give me a quarter. In the future I will drive the extra mile or two to Ace before I allow her to humiliate this Park resident again.
